When doing the mod do yo uhave to cut the jeep shaft down. The one i got from work when completely collasped is still about 2 inches to long im thinking i need to cut about three inches off the ends maybe less.
Like said before D44 wont hold up with those tires and gears. The term crawler is being used as in even if you never let it get dirty and only cruise the MALL you will still break axles and gears.
Not to be rude but a D44 will never hold up to those kinda tires in anything other then mall crawling unless you spend major money on it which by the time its strong enough you could have a D60
<~~Will be looking at work for a Jeep with the steering shaft still in it since i get a very nice discount lol. I guess it pays to be working at a salvage yard and be loved by the boss for my speed and abiliaty to do my job lol.
Even if it was a pace truck hes ruined it now by adding all the aftermarket stuff and taking the originality away from it. If anything it would be a good CLONE but who knows.
<~~ working at LKQ salvage yard now and this is something im waiting to see a jeep come through lol. I tear down all the engines we pull to just a long block with tins on it.
Id say manual rack n pinion. Rack n pinion would be even more accurate then crossover and since your not flexing as much as if you were rock crawling or trail riding itll work just fine
Well ive got new sending units in both tanks along with a new valve now and all new rubber lines and blew out all the hard lines so if shit dont work now ill be moving this to the rant thread lol.
Luckily i was within walking distance of the house but unfourtantly the family was with me and it was after 1 am and they had to walk too. And now that i ran it dry and sucked up all the shit in the bottom of the tank even with a fuel filter the float is now sticking every once in awhile
Double Dingo wjere did you find the matching lockin gas caps?
Today converted my Quadrajet from vac secondaries o mechanical secondaries and ordering everything to do the left tank and get a new fuel valve to get both tanks working right. Thought I had it working the other day till it left...
My youngest does the same thing in that he always asked when we are leaving if we are going in daddys truck. He loves riding in mine since he sits up higher then in the wifes Grand Cherokee.
IF your gonna replace the springs anyways go ahead with a 4inch lift and some 35's. Youll be ok with the 410's unless you wanna run 80 down the interstate.
No this was a regular 8 lug hub dually rear. It had a renmovable third member and a removable back plate weird i know. But it diffently wasnt rockwell lol
