    The eBay find Thread

Here's a thread to post all those unique ebay finds that'll disappear long before the discussion is over. Example 1 80's Surfs Up! Retro Square Body!

    looks nice

I don't know why, but, the 66 Chevy half ton is my dream truck. 2WD Stepside with a BBC.

selling my truck does anybody want it?

My Square never had A/C :(

    That's a LOT of chrome........

The same could be said for all the polished aluminum tanker trucks out there. Then again, those are rarely buffed to a mirror like finish these days. I've been seeing a lot more sports cars covered in chrome lately, especially Lamborghinis. I would imagine the weight of actual chrome plating...

    That's a LOT of chrome........

I maintain that the truck is not chrome plated because of the dash pieces and the firewall. On the rare occasion that I get bored enough to try painting on my own (I'm terrible at it), if I am going to attempt a color change I will remove the fenders and the doors. As for the usefulness of...

    That's a LOT of chrome........

I just thought of something. There's no way that truck is chromed. If it was, the firewall would be chrome as well, wouldn't it? The dash would be, too.

selling my truck does anybody want it?

I'd be all over this if I had a bigger yard. R10 is 2WD, right?

Is the 305 worth the effort?

Before I bought my current GMC, I test drove a Titan and I felt like the damn thing could not get out of its own way. Fully loaded, the truck didn't feel anywhere near as nice as the Work Truck Silverado I was trading in. I mentioned to the sales guy that I didn't think it had the power to...

Is the 305 worth the effort?

I actually glazed over your reference and completely missed it. Nawh, I was talking about locals who would trash talk the truck because it wasn't a 350, yet, they had 4 cylinder S10's. That and those forum guys who always claim you can't get any power out of 305 yet chub up at the thought of...

Is the 305 worth the effort?

My 305 was always a healthy motor. Healthy enough that it would actually piss me off when people would trash talk the motor and call it stupid things such as a "boat anchor". Do the usual tune up stuff and see if that improves anything. The Titan I test drove seemed like it had less power than...

    Square Body Burb Tribute

If I were to pick up a Burb, it would be one of the newer (01 up) trucks and I'd be trying to make myself a newer version of a 2Dr Tahoe. I have no need for something as big as a Burb, especially since it's just the woman and myself. Hell, her kid is out of college and she's been spayed so there...

Man, I wish I had some Redneck friends to do stupid shit with.

    That's a LOT of chrome........

They managed to take one of the most desirable Squares, at least in my mind, and make me say "Do Not Want!" The Engine Bay and Interior looks like shit. Some of the reflections have me wondering if the body is even straight.

Not a Square Body issue but...

Does your dash cluster squeak like two old people fucking? Slow and awkward.

Not a Square Body issue but...

Solution #1: Come buy my '06 GP. Seriously. I don't want it. No problems with it. I just don't want it. Solution #2: I would suspect vapor lock.

Pictures of my Nova and the troubles it caused me today

I don't know why the radiator is so much. Once I get the car back in the spring, I'll see if I can have it repaired. If not, I will check with some local places that I know who might be able to find me a better price. I didn't even bother to price the water pump yet. What really blew me away...

    Battery Problems in '09 GMC

You know I was talking to one sales guy and he said he sees it all the time, mostly in Cadillacs. Apparently, some cars, especially the DTS, have nearly 100 computers that are CONSTANTLY sucking juice. As an IT guy, I have to ask two questions. Why are that many computers needed in the first...

Pictures of my Nova and the troubles it caused me today

No kids in my future, man. The Woman had all her reproductive parts removed last fall and even though she's been gutted like a fish, I still think she's a keeper. The playground is still in tact, but, some of the sewage pipes have been removed. Even still, I plan on getting snipped when I find a...

    Battery Problems in '09 GMC

You know, despite all the noise I've made about the issue, I'll probably end up doing just that. However, I am going to try and duplicate the problem at least once to make sure I know what caused the issue in the first place.

Pictures of my Nova and the troubles it caused me today

My dad had to install that hood pin because his grandfather clearly did not live in the nicest neighborhood in town and local jackasses would pop the hood and mess with the wiring. When the time comes to restore the car, I think I'll keep that single pin as a reminder.

Pictures of my Nova and the troubles it caused me today

Man, I can't imagine putting a 4 cylinder in these cars. I only first read about 4 cylinders in this body style a few weeks a go. I've never seen one in person.

Pictures of my Nova and the troubles it caused me today

There is a reason this partiuclar Nova still has the heartbeat of a 6 cylinder under the hood and it will NEVER see a V8. Flash back to 1971, my Great Grandfather had his '55 Chevy 210 (base model of the Bel Air) stolen from out in front of his Duplex. The car was never found. He replaced that...
