Need a complete column shift linkage

Ahh I see now. I was looking at that on my phone when I responded the first time. Now I am looking at it on a laptop and see what you are saying. I have never seen that little bolt and nuts on a steering linkage from our trucks. :sorry:

    steering pulling to right

The pump over pressures the box and causes the wheels to turn right. Mine was so bad that it would be sitting in the driveway running and all of a sudden turn the wheels right to full lock. I assume the pressure relief valve was sticking.

This is making my brain hurt..

Check for power at the wires at the brake switch. If you have power on one of the wires. If you have power on one then do a continuity test on the wire without power. This wire should be the one feeding the rear brake lights. If no power on either then you will need to figure out which wire goes...

What have you done to your square lately??

Got my steering column, steering wheel and some bling installed. Don't know what I was thinking but cut the sides off my cowl hood so I could close up the hood gap. Got one side almost welded up but run out of shielding gas.

    Doing Paintjob At Home

Remove as much of the external trim as possible. IE door handles, side markers etc. If painting in a garage wet the floor to help control dust. WEAR ALL PROTECTIVE GEAR, FRESH AIR RESPIRATOR and a full body painter suit. Prep is the major key to a successful paint job. Sand off old paint...

    seat brackets

Burb bucket seats into a 73-87 C10. He did need an extra set of bench brackets and he also needed the inner front bucket seat mounts from a burb. He just made his own inner seat mounts. He also has a video on there that shows you how to rebuild the vent windows without removing the pivot rivet.

    Door adjustment

I have had a few cabs off the frame with the doors on and have had no problem with opening/closing the doors. If you are flexing a cab so much that you are binding the doors in the cab frame by changing the rear body mounts you have a serious problem. If the door is hitting the front fender I...

    Door adjustment

You most likely have bad pins in the door hinges. You can get replacements at your local autoparts store. http://www.ebay.com/itm/like/370834763696?lpid=82 83kid I would change the front mounts and see if that corrects the door issue. Someone school me here but the cab is a solid unit...

    New to site.

This is as close to a factory harness you can get without using an OEM harness from a donor truck. I used this one on my 86 and sans the wiper and PW/PL wiring it was complete. Sit down before you click on the link...

    Cab Install Alignment ?

Trial and error was the way I did mine. If I remember correctly there was not much adjustment left to right of the cab and core support when using new bushings.

    Cab Install Alignment ?

Please explain. The hood mounts to the cab. The fenders mount to the cab and the core support. The core support and cab mount to the frame. I would just measure from the outside of the frame to the rocker on the cab and make sure that measurement is close to equal on both sides. The...

    Harbor Freight Tool/Product Review

I have one, just make sure you mount it securely to the floor. It works great for motorcycle tires and so-so for car/truck tires.

What have you done to your square lately??

Mocked up the new wheels. Test fitted the front clip with original fenders and moved the aftermarket fenders that were on it to the burb. Also replaced the hood on the burb with the original one from the 74. Plan was to use the original front fenders from the burb on the 74 but the driver side...

    Canyon Copper?

Just take the truck or a painted piece of it to a good automotive paint store and they can color match the paint and fix you up with a touch up kit. This would probably work better since more than likely the paint has faded over the years unless the paint job is relatively recent.

    HT 383 install

I would add it inside the cab in the sending wire between the gauge and the coolant sensor. Have you tried using multiple adapters to use the correct sensor. Like a short piece of brass pipe that the sensor fits into and then convert that with an adapter to fit the hole in the block?

    HT 383 install

Ahh I see. If you go the resistor route use a variable resistor to dial it in to your liking.

    HT 383 install

If the coolant sensor hole has NPT threads and you have enough room just go to the hardware store and find an adapter. Something like this:

    Vent window rubber

Watch this series of videos, this guy did it a little different and didn't remove the pivot rivet. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R9By0gl6VeE&list=UURWI7nIQqM5BgT9_Oto53RQ

Use plenty of penetrate spray. Remove the larger nut that holds the rubber line to the frame. Carefully pull the connection thru the frame and clamp on the flare nut and the metal part of the rubber hose. When putting it back together just make sure the large nut is still on the metal brake line.

    vintage air system

I with you on this one. I priced replacing all the components needed to refurbish the stock AC and make it 134 compatible and it was only a few bucks less than the Vintage Air system. There are people out there that say you can convert the stock R12 system to 134 with minimum parts but if you...
