Static drop for those on an xtreme budget...

I would just build them yourself if you have access to a welder or someone who does welding. A couple pieces of round or square tubing, some bushings, and some tabs to weld on the axle and some for the frame and your set lol I'm going to build some for this truck, I'll try to post up some pics...

What's the most dangerous tool in your shop?

Cheater pipe...I mean, it's whole purpose is to put WAAAAAY more power to your tools than they were designed for lmao My fave move is STANDING on the cheater pipe and bouncing...that never ends well. -John

Static drop for those on an xtreme budget...

^^^you could always run a traction bar if your worried about wheelhop. FWIW at 1st I tried removing leaves to lower the back of the truck but even with just the main leaf and one regular leaf it only lowered it 2 or so inches. That wasn't enough for me so I went with the flip. If it worked...

Static drop for those on an xtreme budget...

Ok, 1st off I want to say that yes I do know there are a bunch of better ways to lower your truck. But this WORKS if you are on an xtreme budget or just don't want to buy a bunch of parts. The big negative here is the ride, I can deal with it fine, as a matter of fact I actually like the way it...

Anyone have any info/pics on stripping & painting dash?

I'm sure its pretty simple but if I remember correctly he said the metal was pretty thin so you had to be careful with it. If I can't find the info I may just have to dig in and post up my own thread on it lol -John

    Let's say I got a C-30 but NEED to have a 4x4...

^^^Thats easy, find any 1/2 ton 2wd and unbolt the xmember/suspension/steering box...bolt into yours. I think its cool to see a few 2wd K5's. A guy I know built a '72 Blazer into a neat hot rod 2wd...was sweet seeing a mini-tubbed roadster running around lol -John

    Oregon digs Squares

Hey guys, I'm from over here in the big OR. I love these trucks, 4x4's or 2x4's, don't matter. I currently have a '75 short-step with the standard lowered/mild small block/hot-rod thing going on and a '83 K5 Blazer thats a lifted/3/4tons/street-woods rig. See ya on the board. -John

    Let's say I got a C-30 but NEED to have a 4x4...

I was going to do this on a 1/2 ton shortie a few years ago and heres what I learned- -frame is the same -2wd front xmember unbolts & drops out -engine xmember, motor mount brackets, spring hangar, shackle hangar, steering box, will need to be scavenged from a 4x4 donor -the 4x4's...
