    Leaf springs need help

Once you get your springs if still too spongy spend the money on correct valve shocks made big difference for me.(different application) but relevant. I had to get Bilstein 5125 360/80 valving to work with my 1/2 ton Jimmy the 255/70 valving was exactly too boatey wallowy loose soft

    Front 2-3" Springs

I'm a few hours away from hunting and OHV areas, I liked the ride of the 2"-3" TC "softride" springs with bilstein 5125's w 360/80 valving. They handled pretty good on the freeway and on mild/intermediate OHV and hunting trails. Unfortunately I bent the front pack and need a replacement. I'm...

    Batteries

Interesting video however he's only testing one battery of each brand. It seems like everyone has there "best product" these days. I like the Odyssey mostly because they are made in USA, showed up on a bunch of "Top Rated Reviews" and a few guys on here on GM Square Body, Tahoe Yukon forum and...

If you are certain you have 3.08 gears you can use this easy calculator. http://www.businesspath.com/business_paths/auto/rpm-calc.html

    Posi Traction

Yes my comment that was poorly written was in regards to changing the gears to 3.73 would give him quicker off the line performance without any HP gains. I agree completely (heads, exhaust and headers) would help. I have an 89' stock 350CI TBI begging to have 200hp, when i changed the stock 3.73...

    Posi Traction

You will not gain HP but the gearing will send you off the line much quicker and have 2 wheel traction not 1 slipping. At 70mph with OD you should be around 2150 rpm

    Posi Traction

If you can find a 3.73 with a G80 that would be your best bet. Your stock 85' 305ci <200hp would benefit. Check the wrecking yard or 4x4 shops many Chevy/GMC owners going with 35"+ tires will swap them out. Lots of trucks and Blazer/Jimmy and 1/2 ton Suburbans had them. 1980 - 1988 had 28...

Spark plugs for 87 350 tbi

So late 80's TBI vs 70's-80's Carb Old HEI coil on cap vs points vs newer HEI coil separate from cap. Basically the same vs heat range? or are there different recommended for each specific type. My 89 calls for the CR43TS seem to fine I'm running them at .040 gap cause I read that was better...

I'm not positive but I believe your Brake Master Cylinder is off a newer vehicle too. My 78' Jimmy had an iron reservoir.

This is a stock 1989 350 TBI set up, PCV is pass side going into front of TB. Drive side has vent going into riser between TB and air cleaner.

    No way this is right?

It depends are you trying to set it up as the 1978 or set it up as the newer engine was stock?

Yes, So sad I'm not the flashy Californian guy, I also surf in a black wetsuit without bright lettering. Crazy isn't it!!! I may have to buy a new set of tires and request white lettering inside and out.

My Jimmy with 3" lift and 33"x12.50 x 15 rubbed on full compression wheel turned with a 10" wide rim. I swapped out for 15x8 rim and it does not touch at all. Both rims had a 3.75" backspace

Quads shocks, going to single shock question?

What did you end up doing, which position, forward (aux longer) or rear (stock shorter) Seems like there are many posts about keeping shock angle vertical but the stock angle is steeper than aux??? Mine is in stock location and doesn't ride great well on streets and Hwy getting to OHV locations.
