14 bolt 10.5 full float on 1/2 ton

Sell the built 400 for money toward an 80. Otherwise your adding cost down the road. Budget swaps often get started and then sit. LS if done before isn’t hard or expensive. But doing it this way, costs more and takes longer.

    Fuel pump dilemma

I’d replace that grungy ass looking sender. But if that’s not the choice I’d then be more than happy to recommend cutting that tubing if you’re sure you won’t need it. Then plug it or slip another hose over it and vent it somewhere with a filter on it.

14 bolt 10.5 full float on 1/2 ton

I’m confused why you wouldn’t slap in the 4l80 if you’re already LS swapping it. The computer is fully capable of handling the electronics.

Opinions on cutting out catalytic converters.

I didn’t read all the responses but am happy to add mine. You can delete them, and there are dummy rear o2 sensors that’ll keep the CEL from tripping. Sometimes they don’t trip and all. Leaving them unplugged sometimes works too. Or you can have em tuned out ALOT of ways to delete em. That...

In the throes of completion SQUAREMAX L5P

Forgive me, I think you mentioned it earlier but I didn’t jump in soon enough. I plan on doing a d max swap some day on a 94 dually. It’s already a diesel and I do all my work myself. What version of the d max would you say is the easiest/ best option for swaps?

    Engine mounts and A/C

I have seen these work. I haven’t pulled the trigger myself yet. It is close, but since it uses the smaller compressor it works. Some have shaved the frame to assist in ease of install. Angled fittings are sometimes required or used again for ease. The biggest issue isn’t with the fitment...

    Full Ridetech 4Link Setup DONE

Been working on this kit. Inez hot rods. It removes the spring pocket and you weld this plate In. It moves the coilover closer to the frame. As a result the ground clearance is a lot better. This kit works for 63-87 trucks. Since it’s just tacked and I want to ensure everything is lined up...

Poll -Would doing a LS swap in a CLEAN 1987 V10 INCREASE to DECREASE VALUE?

Shoot. I installed a low mile LS for not much more than 600. These swaps aren’t that bad. And the comparison price wise isn’t that far off. I think you’re looking at it different. The price for an average bear to install a JY LS is roughly what it would cost to rebuild the 350. This is only a...

Poll -Would doing a LS swap in a CLEAN 1987 V10 INCREASE to DECREASE VALUE?

If the stock engine runs, run it. as soon as it’s rebuild time I’d LS it hands down. Now around here people think a 600$ JY engine makes any square worth 10k automatically. Your location plays a large effect on the value of the swap.
