Looking for a heavy-duty receiver hitch

I found one locally yesterday, local shop says they can get a class V hitch for it. I dont plan on throwing a massive amount of weight on it, just dont want a class III hitch that wont be able to handle the weight. Usually we go pretty slow with the loaded trailer and only around 4-5...

Looking for a heavy-duty receiver hitch

I am looking to buy a heavy-duty (class IV or V) hitch for my K10. The only hitches I can find are Class III hitch which are rated for 600 lbs on the tongue. I will be using the truck to haul a trailer which will have various heavy objects, one main thing is in the spring it will be loaded...

    Are headers worth it?

I have a 1987 TBI 350 in my stock K10. I see I can buy headers fairly cheap - around $200-250. Is there any point to putting headers on a stock TBI motor? Anyone install these and feel a difference? Only thinking about it since I may end up installing dual exhaust soon, figure I may as well...

Tire size for stock 15" wheels - Pictures?

I like the look of the 31's on the suburban. They seem to fill up the wheel well a little.

Tire size for stock 15" wheels - Pictures?

Hello, I am getting new tires put on my 1987 K10 in the next week or so. Does anyone here run a +1 tire on the stock wheels or other sizes? Any pictures of different tire sizes (including the standard size) on the stock rally wheels on stock (non-lifted) suspension would be great!

I was able to find one! A salvage yard had one truck that had one and I got it. Thanks to all!

Where can I find a stock steering arm?

Anyone have one of these laying around or have any idea where I can find one? LMC and the other classic truck sites dont have them as a part you can buy. Car-Part.com doesn't have any option to search for "steering arm." Any ideas? I have new shocks and springs - just need the stock...

Where can I find a stock steering arm?

HotRod - if you have a stock steering arm I may be interested - I think they were unchanged for all the years so an 80 model should fit. Someone asked what I plan on doing with the lift - I plan on selling it (maybe on the sale area here) once I get the truck back to stock. I ordered new...

Where can I find a stock steering arm?

Hello, Does anyone know where I can find a stock steering arm at? I have looked around the internet without finding anything. Right now the truck is lifted and has the 4" steering arm (the U-shaped arm) on it. I am putting back to stock and need a standard arm. Anyone have a clue where to...

    Replacement suspension

Thanks for that reply, that is very good information. Any idea which rear springs I should be getting? All the websites I visiting have several options - 4,5,6 leaf springs are available. It sounds like its more which weight rating I am looking for. The fronts were 2 leaf, so I imagine I...

    Replacement suspension

At this point I am not really interesting in trading out suspensions, but I will probably have this lift kit for sale in the near future. It is a rough country 4" lift w/o blocks - all springs. Apparently it only has 200 miles on the kit and I believe it as it looks brand new.

    Replacement suspension

Hello, I recently purchased a 1987 Chevy k10 w/lift kit. I am going to use this as a work truck and plan on taking the lift off. The previous owner no longer had the stock springs/shocks. I found a good source for springs (I think) on the internet with SDtrucksprings. They have several...
