    BS That chinese carp has no check valve. Only Rochester's came with check valve fuel filters. I can show you a dozen 1400 Chinabrocks that all leak down. We install bass check valves in them. The check valves wear out in 4-5 years and you have to replace them. BTW did you know Chinabrock...

    Fuel economy C10 with carb

    My 78 gets 19 mph in the summer, and 12 mpg in the winter (ethanol). Its a 6000 lb lifted 4x4 Suburban. If your going for fuel mileage, go with a Rochester 2 barrel. My buddies tri power get better mileage than any 4 barrel. Just running foo the center carb. For all you Holley new buyers...

    Help with grinding/whirring sound!

    Jack each wheel up, hands at 12 and 6, and see if you can move the front wheel back and forth. Whiles its up you can spin it and check for wheel drag. Dont think so or it would shutter when stopping.

    Going the wrong way. Single with a Magnaflow torque master will deliver more low end for off roading than a sheet hotrod set up. I had what you are building. I ripped it all off and have low end power up the wah zoo.

    AFB Carter has a working one way check valve in it. They work. Ive gone thru a few brass check valves, they last about a year. When working I have no leak off for a week. Now over the weekend.

    Put in an LMC heater switch. Its a 2 speed switch, not the 3 speed one I took out. Resealing the heater fan tower today.

    Headlights flickering...

    Switch is a good place to start, $20 at LMC, just got one. Im replacing all the switches. The headlights have several connections from the light switch tot he bulb. Bad grounding can cause this also.

    Quadrajet by Rochester https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Quadrajet Wait a minute, Quadrajunks are spread bores, Them 1400 Eldies be square bores :-O He gonna need a AFB, or a Holley. I have a bucket of Holley 4250s, but I'd suggest an AFB Carter 4000 series.

    I sent the last from weeks ripping out all the factory front A/C and installing the complete heater assy from my 79 parts rig. I have a gasket and a wiring harness to go. Hours of fun and joy.

    Muffler recommendations

    I did a Magnaflow 2:1 for the low end in four wheel drive. Sounds gnarly after a few years.
