Don’t know what to do about shocks

The extended length on a set of Ranchos I’ve looked at is 19.5” on the front which is fine but the rears is only 22” only giving 3 inches of travel from ride height to fully extended

Don’t know what to do about shocks

I’ve looked at Skyjacker and a few others but none that I’ve seen fit a stock ride height, or they’re too short

Thanks man, originally a Colorado truck for Schneider Trucking for one of their shop trucks (hence the orange) it’s definitely a looker

Don’t know what to do about shocks

I got a 74 K10, however it has the heavy duty suspension under it so what I would assume 3/4 ton springs and shocks. I’m trying to figure out what shocks to go with, it’s factory ride height, I’ve been looking but from what I’ve seen the lengths are wrong for me, I measured the ones on the truck...

Only thing I would’ve done prior is new plugs and wires

Got me puzzled to say the least

I don’t know a whole lot about the engine other than it being a GM GoodWrench crate engine with 40,000 miles on it roughly

Got me puzzled to say the least

It’s got 2 brand new Flowmaster FlowFX mufflers on it, the alt and ps belt were done recently, there’s no heat shields on the truck

Got me puzzled to say the least

I know when it comes to something like this it has to be heard in person and felt, I started out running 87 octane when I first got it but since the early fall I’ve been running 89, I was kinda thinking it could be ignition related, when I first got the truck we timed it and it was at 10 degrees...

Got me puzzled to say the least

So I have a problem and I don’t have any idea what it is. Running down the road in gear at any RPM above 1700 I have a rattle, it kinda reminds me of an exhaust rattle. Any RPM below 1700 it sounds like a regular ol 350 Chevy. Now here’s what gets me sitting in the driveway in park or neutral...

    Dash lights not working

AutoZone didn’t know what I was talking about, Advance had an idea but didn’t have one, don’t have an OReillys in the area, and Napa is a lost cause up here cause they never have anything

    Dash lights not working

Well the parts stores in my area didn’t have any idea what I was talking about and the one didn’t have one nor knew when they could get one

    Dash lights not working

I traced everything, what I ended up doing is jumping power off the tail light wire on the switch, what had happened apparently the switch also went bad for the dash lights too during all this, and no one around me had a switch I just jumped power and now I have no issues, the only other thing I...

    Dash lights not working

Well boys, I completely redid the radio wiring and still no dash lights, started checking for power on the wire for the dash lights and I have no power, I have the notion to run a new power wire cause I’m tired of not having dash lights

    Dash lights not working

Yes factory harness the RetroSound doesn’t have a plug so I had to cut the factory plug off and use a junction block to wire it up

    Dash lights not working

I have 2 gray wires coming from the truck harness and one black I didn’t use, I used the cigarette lighter power for my CB power wire I don’t think I have an orange wire in the truck harness

    Dash lights not working

There was no information in the instructions I was disappointed in the quality of that, I have my CB using the cigarette lighter wire since the truck didn’t have a cigarette lighter to begin with, I will definitely tear my dash out today and fix this

    Dash lights not working

Which wire is that, cause I have 2 gray and one black, I know one gray is constant power and I believe the other is keyed and also is the wire for the old light but since I no longer have that and since both are tied together I think that’s what’s causing my issue, so should I take the keyed...

    Dash lights not working

I’ve had this issue for a while and now it’s bugging me, I know what the cause is but don’t know how to fix it. I put a RetroSound radio in my truck a few months ago and since then I haven’t had dash lights, I know its back feeding power and blowing the fuse, I just pulled the fuse out for my...

    Ignition won’t turn

It’s just weird to me that it was fine one day, didn’t have any issues and this morning it happened, it is a tilt column but I haven’t ever changed it since I got it

    Ignition won’t turn

Went out this morning to start my truck, put the key in and the ignition wouldn’t turn. It’s in park and didn’t do anything to the column. It was fine Saturday when I drove it to work and back home. Didn’t mess with it at all yesterday but today the ignition is stuck. Any ideas or fixes is...

    Few questions

Ok, it’s also a Connex 3400 which is a bigger radio than most here are running so I just need to run a power and ground right off the battery. That’s honestly what I was more than likely going to do but wanted to see what everyone else did

    Few questions

Bought a 74 Cheyenne Super K10 at the beginning of the year and have been slowly working on it. It’s finally done enough to get it on the road. First question is I’m gonna do a CB where did everyone get power from and how long of a coax do I need if I put the antenna on the front stake pocket...
