    Mystery Brackets

Yep, they are the two central bumper brackets. Just installed mine as well. There are also some longer bumper brackets that attach the sides of the bumper to the frame. I can put up a pic or two of the side brackets if needed.

Anybody have a jack set for an ‘87 I could buy?

I’m also looking for the 2 piece crank and wrench. Mine was mounted to the drivers side fender, but it also has a mount on the passenger side!

    jack parts

My truck’s PO left everything there for the jack/mount, but no lug wrench. Would like an extension to crank the jack up without being under the truck. My 4Runner has a 4 piece rod that I am thinking about replicating for the stock k10/k15 jack. Any ideas? Also, what’s the hook on the bottle jack...

I need help diagnosing 1987 chevy

Its gotta be a lack of fuel, air, or spark. Is it the 87 original throttle body injection or carbureted? Does it happen at a particular time/situation? Has anything been fixed/done lately before this started happening?

Added myself to the map. I think putting a link to our profile in the comments that pop up would be helpful. That way, you can message someone directly a little easier.

    Another brake thread.

@Rhyz , I currently have my front brakes actually seizing up when I drive far/fast enough. I am pretty sure its the hoses collapzing/delaminating inside as well. After researching the brake hose replacement procedure, I watched/read that many guys will cut/grind off the connection hardware that...

What have you done to your square lately??

Wire cupped these old school 15" alloys a little yesterday. They still need some work before I can start with finer/detail paint removal, but they are getting there. The black paint that the PO sprayed on them was flaking pretty terribly. The driver side wheels are still black.

I'd replace all hoses first. Even if they look good on the outside. Hard lines seem like they're rarely the problem, but hoses sure can be.

    emergency brake cables

Do you have a picture of your e brake routing, adjuster, and guide roller? The 87 I recently purchased has had the e brake cables cut and I am trying to imagine how to weld up something that will work.

That interior looks fantastic @whiskeydents . I'll have to learn who the local guy is since I live just a little north of Granite Mountain. My K15 is 11 years newer but yours is in much better shape. Nice rig.
