    2" x 1/4" flat stock. Gently pry up the front of the hood, just enough to sneak a 13mm socket on there, and ubolt the latch from the core support.

    shouldn't have any problems running it just the way you said. make sure you secure it to the bed floor where it passes through, so you don't have any problems with it coming back up through the bed floor, and potentially spelling fuel into the bed.

    It the slug truck that sounds fast... We had a kid worth a stock LG4 Camaro that used to cruise with us. Car had a 6" pin on cowl hood on it. That kid would fall into the same category... The hood was faster than the car.

    Of you're going to do it, and invest a lot of money, don't cheap out. Do it right the first time with quality parts. Which is a worse scenario? Spending $1000 on a lift kit that rides like crap and breaks parts, or $1500 on one that rides nice and is bulletproof?

    They might be kinda hard to see off you're not focusing on them, and I have seen them with the factory seam sealer over them, making them completely undetectable.

    Not necessarily... On both statements. If it's currently undergeared (like 99% of these trucks were) overdrive will hurt mpg by lugging the engine below it's powerband. With that said, the 3.06 1st gear gear of the 700R4 will help the truck get out of the hole quicker. If we're talking about...
