    I have a drivers side rear door with glass, no hole for exterior handle. A skid plate for a 40gal tank. And a door mounted ladder for rear barn doors. In SoCal near Glamis and Ocotillo Wells.

    I called the PO and he said he got it that way when he bought it. That's what I was thinking but it is slightly too small to fit over the tank, and the bolt holes don't quite line up.

    LOL, I live in the desert on top of a mountain, we dont get mud even when it rains. I am just exploring options, as we are moving back east to Appalachia in the fall, and the paint is chipped in several places. I want to avoid rust issues down the road.

    When I bought my Suburban it came with this bent metal plate, that I have not seen on other SB's before. I have no idea if its factory or aftermarket.

    I would like to see one on the back of a barn door Suburban. I like the look on a P/U, and I think it would look ok on a tailgate Suburban.

    Blower Motor not working

    I was having a similar problem with the blower on my HVAC also. Took the Burb to my Mechanic to do an inspection. Turns out the plug to the blower on the firewall wasnt pushed all the way on. My mech just gave it a little push, and now my blower works. Sometimes its the simplest thing.

    Fuel leak?

    Defenitly not exhaust coming in from the rear. The blower for the HVAC system isnt working, and the AC doesnt turn on. Can smell the fuel outside after shutting the engine down. And there are no visible fuel leaks on the ground or on the top of the intake manifold.

    Thank you. I was just reading a thread about the vapor canister and was wondering if that was the cause of the issue.

    While driving I am getting a fuel smell in the cabin. But I cant find any leaking fuel. Any Ideas as to what could be causing it?

    New member here in So-Cal. Just got my third Suburban a 1989 V2500. I wish I had never sold my 1985 C2500 Suburban and my 1987 R1500 Cowboy Conversion Suburban. Here to pick brains and share information.
