I think I'll go with the 265/75 then. I kind of got my eye on some comforser tires. They'e made in China from what I understand but for a set it' s 550$ - 600$ for their all terrain or mid terrain

    235/85 Or 265/75 tires

So I know this has been beat to death on the internet but from what I've been reading it' all Toyota forums and smaller trucks. I don' Really haul trailers or do any serious off roading. Truck actually hasnt left my garage in a long time. I got a 1982 3/4 ton 350/sm465 4.10 gears. Stock...

So got it all back together and cranks but won' fire not even a sputter. I'e tried turning the cap and no dice. So I'll be checking for spark and likely be redoing the timing. So I'll make sure there's power to the pink wire that goes to the + on the cap (with key on) Then find tdc on the...

I'l look for them tonight after the kids are in bed. I don' really know how good it ran I didn't really get to drive it that much before the oil leak got bad. Well besides the nightmare of bringing it home. Long story short between filling up the transfer case with next to no tools with a...

The p looks like it was stamped on top of the r. It is deeper though. The truck had a fair bit of nut to it before the massive oil leak (which turns out wasnt the intake likely the oil pan or main seal) I don' have gaskets for the valve covers right now so I'm reluctant to pull them off right...

I can' tell what the suffix code is. It looks like c n r (or a p) The r is upside down and looks like someone stamped on op of it. I also can't figure out rest of the number (101164418)

    Intake manifold rust

I use a halogen work light and a torpedo heater and it sort keeps up but weather is up and down here. Like today it' 0 So you never know. I ended up using my multi tool to turn the oil pump. It' not perfect but it' better than it was. Worse comes to worse I'll start over once it' running. That'...

    Intake manifold rust

I'll have to keep that in mind next time. I've ran into another issue went to put the distributor in and it won't seat in the right spot. I didn't set the motor to tdc when I took it out i just marked the rotor with a paint marker with the brass nipple on intake. I'm usually good for messing...

    Just wee bit fustrated

I cleaned up the surface didn't find any cracks just some gouges from that stud spinning. I'll check it once I have the rest of truck together. I still got fusible links to fix and put carb back on yet Sent from my SM-G930W8 using Tapatalk

    Just wee bit fustrated

I finally got around to fixing that alternator. Took it apart and the stud had stripped the plastic bushing and loosened the nut on the inside of alternator. So I just cleaned it up and put a wrench and socket on it and lock tight and tightened it. Looks ok doesn't wiggle anymore. Sorry for...

    Intake manifold rust

I didn't have any taps so I just used a clean bolt and ran it through a couple of times. Now that I think of it I didn't put anything on the threads of the bolts.

    Intake manifold rust

So I finally got it on. One thing I ran into was after I got it clean as it warmed up it started to sweat so I let it warm up as much as I could cleaned it up again dried it started putting gaskets on. Hopefully doesn't bite me in 5he ass later. I ended up using the black rubber gaskets on the...

So I took apart my intake because I had a leak went to seal it up and my cheap caulking gun broke at the Handel(bent to point of no fixing) life kinda got in the way and wasn' Abel to get to it right away now it' rusty mostly the motor side not really actual intake. What' the safest bet to clean...
