    Finally got a running 65 C10

Enjoying all the Transmission talk. I’m learning. On the topic of headers. This truck has a set of rusty old long tube headers that I’m thinking about painting with the POR 15 high temperature paint. I did that with my white square body and they came out good and lasted long. But I’m also...

Thanks, something to think about. Nephew got the heads ready for paint, showed him the tape and file trick I learned from a hot rod magazine decades ago. Gonna look sweet

So if I was to start looking for a 4 speed manual transmission what would I be looking for? Assuming the clutch pedal would still work I’d just need to mount the shifter in the floor because now the 3 on tree wouldn’t work right. I don’t mind manual, it would actually be neat to keep it but...

Did I mention I’m bipolar lol? No but once I make up my mind and things make sense then I just move forward. Above all I want the truck on the road.

Bored waiting on parts. Painted some brackets, and the intake. The truck hasn’t even left the driveway and it’s still been getting mad compliments from people in the hood. Decided I’m going back with the 3 speed manual for now just to keep the truck down intervals low. Today I ordered the cam...

    Double Dingo's 1965 3/4 Ton "Crusty Biscuit"

I know this feeling.....I'm learning effects of bipolar can get worse with age. I used to work so hard on squares back in my 20s, for the last 3 months its been hell with this sense of impending doom and despair I'm dealing with. Trying to get the meds right. Everything has a side effect. On...

I disagree. They make brackets for ;literally everything LS. Around here you can get a running on the stand 5.3 with trans, TUNED computer for $1500, then all you need is move the crossmember back, some motor mounts, its not even that hard or expensive. Ive got 500 in parts or morew right now on...
