What have you done to your square lately??

OMFG! 2 of my favorite cars and pretty much the only 80s cars I liked! Beautiful. Is that your T type or SS or both?

What have you done to your square lately??

Yes for sure but man, even with 2 stuck rollers and an antique regulator, just cleaning and lubing the regulator and roller tracks, it rolls up n down as fast as every new car in the driveway, with the engine running of course. That voltage drop is noticeable when just pulling off the battery.

    Which dually - 8.1 vs pre-DEF 6.6?

Gotta be a 3.0 Dmax. But lol, anyone who gets 2 grand for pads and rotors and $200 for an oil change on a goddam half ton Chebby can’t be trusted so who knows what was actually the problem although owner noticed an oil leak and left with a new wiring harness. That shop saw that poor sucker...

    Looking for 73-74 gmc grill

Gotcha. I’ll put it on the (long) to do list! Edit, just looked, wasn’t it Holley had them on super sale? Now they’re $250 from Holley (brothers).

    3.0 DuraMax swap

Sounds great in theory. Also sounds like a PHd level engineering assignment. That said, I had one of them 3.0 Dirtymax trucks for a few months and absolutely loved it. Nevermind it’s the only 1/2 ton diesel still being produced, if I had the need for a new or newer half ton that I was footing...

    Door panel resto- backyard style

Thank you, but All those clips are present and accounted for. But got some broken plastic studs on the upper door trim pieces. And likely to mess up a couple more during removal. But the panels themselves and the wood grain is like new so not dumping them for new ones.

Same core support? Shoot I may look into that.

    Which dually - 8.1 vs pre-DEF 6.6?

I haven’t seen any issues with the 6.8 and 7.3 V8s in our trucks but they’re all pretty new low miles. I don’t think GM or Ford 10 speed HD trans are issues. Half tons either. Half tons are actually same trans Ford or GM. And with Ram having versions of the 8speed ZF now in all trucks including...

    Door panel resto- backyard style

Looks awesome! I’m about to give the plastic inside the 77 a refresh. Got a few cans of SEM on order. Need to hokey rig some new plastic studs for the trim around the door handles and window switches. Or I was thinking magnets. Glue them and metal tabs on in the right spots.

    Which dually - 8.1 vs pre-DEF 6.6?

Honestly if I was looking for the best bang for buck in a reliable gasser dually, the Ford V10 (5 speed auto not 4 speed) or 6.2 6 speed would be on my short list. And I don’t even like Fords!

    Which dually - 8.1 vs pre-DEF 6.6?

Oh, employee-mobile? Got a gmt900 6.0 duallly. They’re basically indestructible and dumb **** proof and newer than the 800s, hypothetically a bit better. Who cares if it’s slow and eats brakes on the the hills. You’re paying them by the hour. An 8.1 will too although I’d rather have the Alli...

    Looking for 73-74 gmc grill

Good luck buddy! Too bad, Holley has 73-74 Chevy grilles brand new for cheap cheap. And that style Chev and GMC are imo the best looking round eye grilles! I’d put one in the 77 if they fit.

    75 Chevy SWB 4x4

That’s a phenomenal color combo. I don’t have that color but do have an original buckskin interior. Some fading discoloring obviously. The a pillar and above the door headliner trim in that one photo are repainted with light buckskin color SEM color coat.

    Which dually - 8.1 vs pre-DEF 6.6?

If you’re not doing daily work with it, I’m not certain what you could possibly do with a dump trailer that your 3rd gen wouldn’t handle just fine. Don’t even need a dually unless you have a GN trailer and GN pin weights. Which the 3rd gen will still handle over 4k of pin weight easily. If you...

    Headlights

Bad wiring job or bad wiring that you didn’t touch. Possible ground issue. Flickering (not flashing, presume you mean taillights were also flickering) is usually a loose connection. Hot or ground. If all lights are doing the same random off on then look to the power to the switch first as it...

Like he said any OE 8x6.5 from any of the big 3. Fords thru 97, GM thru 2012? Ish, Dodge through 2018 I believe. Ram wheels will be 17” from 3rd and 4th gen trucks

    8 lug slots...?

Moved here in 2011. Freddys is still good. Never heard of Federated auto parts and Clems is just like any other dealer now. Not bad but they were better 10 years ago.

    Driver’s door decals

Ha! Well I’m blind! Stands to reason as I’m not certain I’ve ever stared at any gvw sticker in particular. Wonder if the lower gvw trucks have it as well? Regardless, the info I provided to @WRW86 is what to look at for a softer ride. Thanks man!
