    Getting the itch again.....

Shoot, just do it and get it over with, lol. I've got a similar AMG crush on one of these... I would love to get one and drop a 6.0L in and top it with a rebuilt factory blem CTS-V charger, trailed by a Tremec T56. I've drove a few of these and while they are fun, they need some help with...

    Custom grille

I think it's a good frame start, have you thought about what you could do with the expanded pipe rolling it like this? I did that wave look on my backhoe grill, lol. Actually ended up looking better than just flat.

    Spare Tire

I've fit up to a 33" under the back before, had to re-rout the pipes slightly to clear though. Since I run 37's on my K20, don't even have a spare yet, lol. I am planning to use a trailer spare mount plate to the middle of the bed against the cab, but once I get my tool box in there, not sure...

Are the 6.2 diesels a good engine?

I used to have an 86 GMC Suburban with the 6.2l. I put a 6" lift and 35's on it, full roof rack, big heavy front bumper and a rack off the back hitch to haul my CR500, poor little 6.2 couldn't get over a hill without dropping to 2nd (TH400 with 4.10's even). I lived in cold country at the time...

my new (first) vette, or my wifes? LOL

Those are the widest tires I can fit under there without rubbing or sticking out too far, still not enough to stop them from blowing into smoke though, lol.

    installing radiator with aftermarket?

I put an aftermarket aluminium radiator in my 86 that no longer fit the stock rubber mounts, so ended up making my own for lack of better idea. Bought 2 maul handle protectors that were on sale for 2.50 each, measured the spots on the radiator, cut the protectors in half (one half makes a...

Hot cold hot cold goes the heat in my truck.

Also curious, is the water pump correct rotation for a 4.3 in a C10? I've heard the 4.3l in an s10 is reverse rotation, never looked to see if you could mount either in the same place and don't remember if the rotation difference was just different for v-belt vs serpentine.

Just curious, does this have a fan clutch and if so, is it working properly?

    Welder

I've got a 140 also, set it up on a cart with a big stargon bottle and converted it from flux core...I prefer this for body work since there is less clean up, I just put some anti-spatter down around the area first so everything just wipes clean. I also got a spool gun that I can hook to it...

    new resistor but no blower...why?!

What about a basic circuit tester like this? Dirt cheap at any parts store, has a bulb in it, hook the one end to ground anywhere and stick the probe end on wire terminals that are supposed to be hot and bulb lights up...no light, no circuit power.

    new resistor but no blower...why?!

Using a meter, on the relay, do you have 12v on the red wire? Granted, this is for a corvette, but I think wire color should be the same.

    new resistor but no blower...why?!

The noise suppressor is a capacitor, usually like a 1 or 2 micro farad. They were used on wiper motors, blower motors, sometimes off the alternator or off the coil. RustyPile is right, don't need the suppressor usually, can just bypass it. Do you have a decent meter? After you make sure you have...

What new tools have you got lately?

Being a Truck/Car guy and being a tool guy has always been to me like cake and frosting, they just naturally fit together. Since I'm always after tools that I don't have, I thought it would be sort of cool to do a thread on tools. Post up pictures of new or new to you tools that you just locked...

Best Set-up for plowing, Dream rig

Another thing that is a must to have is highly visible marker rods for seeing where the corners are when you plow close to stuff so you don't rip the plow off on a tree/post/side hill...done that twice, last time completely tore the plow off my highboy and was to the rear tires before I got...

    new resistor but no blower...why?!

I think the part you are bypassing bolted on the firewall is a radio blower motor capacitor. If it's bad, no power will go through it.
