Rims won't fit on rear with drums.

That's a key phrase. "OE style"

Rims won't fit on rear with drums.

No issues with runout, suspension, etc. My truck runs down the road smooth as can be at 75mph. I'll say it again, it is a very minor modification.

Rims won't fit on rear with drums.

Wheels are not returnable if they have been painted or had tires mounted. Says so on the website where I ordered mine, Coker tire. I'm gonna take a wild guess and say Summit website says so as well. Hence the term and procedure, "test fit" I put a little masking tape on mine to protect them...

Spacer like that won't do it.

Rims won't fit on rear with drums.

I didn't say anything about machining the brake drum. I said you DON'T want to go and machine your brake drum. Get that beast on the road and have some fun with it.

Rims won't fit on rear with drums.

Wil not hurt the wheel. it is a MINOR modification. You guys are gonna make me go pull a wheel off my truck when it's totally unnecessary for me to do that. Again, it's a SIMPLE solution. Good golly. Yes, it SHOULD'VE fit. But it doesn't, It's the aftermarket! I fixed mine without any drama, he...

Rims won't fit on rear with drums.

It's the aftermarket. Stuff happens in the aftermarket. If he had test fit the wheels before painting them, as would be normal procedure for most folks, he would've caught the issue and had the option of returning them. Case closed. Now, it's time to make the simple mod I have described. Not...

Rims won't fit on rear with drums.

No, it won't hit the barrel. And the mod isn't visible from the outside of the wheel either. Small cutting wheel on an angle grinder is the best bet. then just a little clean up. In my introductory post someone asked about my 15x10s, and I noted the mod but didn't describe it at any length.

Rims won't fit on rear with drums.

Look at the pic in post#76. The wheel is 2 parts welded together, the barrel of the wheel and the wheel center. There are 4 welds that join the center to the barrel. In between the welds there are open areas. The wheel center on his new wheel is shaped a little differently than the center on a...

    Truck cover

I got mine from Carcovers.com. Fits great, I've bought covers for several vehicles through them. Good quality and warranty.

Rims won't fit on rear with drums.

It's not the weights. It's the wheel centers.

    Happy to have you brother.

Rims won't fit on rear with drums.

Unless I'm mistaken you have disc brakes up front. You won't have any clearance issues with the front. So, you're discouraged to the point of just doing nothing. No worries, if you decide at some point that you'd like to see exactly what the fix is, just let me know and I'll pull off a wheel and...

    '77 Vandura radio not working

Nice van! There's a red 75 across town from me that I'd like to get ahold of. Put some zoomies on like back in the day.

Rims won't fit on rear with drums.

Mine fit great after a little trimming. But, do as you will. I've described exactly what is needed, can't do any more than that.

Rims won't fit on rear with drums.

Those wheels must've been balanced while the paint was still wet. I sure didn't have that kind of paint damage when mine were done.

    Tripod mirrors on lowered trucks?

My truck is lowered, I have the sport mirrors. They are on the small side but sure do look the best.
  22. mlsceo

Rims won't fit on rear with drums.

I repeat the question. Did you take a hammer to the raised areas around the stud holes thinking they were causing the issue?
  23. mlsceo

Rims won't fit on rear with drums.

OP, how did the fresh paint around all six wheel stud holes get so dinged up? What surface did that mounting face contact? The chipped paint on the edges of the wheel center openings are exactly what I experienced, But the mounting surface of the wheel never contacted the drum until after I...

This drum appears to have the same lip, looks like the two notches are the only difference.

Rims won't fit on rear with drums.

Take a wheel and a drum to your local fab shop. Let them have a look. Take one of your factory wheels as well for comparison. I won't cost you anything to have them look at it and you do not want to machine down your factory drums. Buying different drums without test fitting will very likely...
