gm only initially retrofitted the instructions to 1988 After some years they made 1984 for some cars but they never officially went back further than 1988 but the AC in the trucks, to my knowledge, should be unchanged to the year they started using the R4. if you have an R4, i am pretty sure it...- AuroraGirl

id also recommend a continious duty version of the ford fender relay that replaced the ones that looked like that And since its not original, who is to say that one in the picture is the right kind anyway The reason Id recommend the relay version instead of solenoid is they have less potential...- AuroraGirl

The knock sensor can be omitted for the time being and you won’t have as much ignition advance. Are you only equipped with one knock sensor or two? Factory calibration? Can I see your power steering reservoir- AuroraGirl

unless youre just desiring to take advantage of extra space elsewhere, removing your trans cooler from your radiator is actually pretty dumb. Unless you never drive this thing short trips or the winter, youll be under temperature Theres a specific reason for end tank coolers and when auxillary...- AuroraGirl

you could use an end tank one, frankly i dont see a benefit to using a dedicated one esp since it wont then be warmed up with the coolant and maintained there being separate from the sounds of your cooling (normal coolant cooling) will be pretty good, with a restriction in the heater core pipe...- AuroraGirl

Who sells the best replacement gas tank
thats what i did, I dont remember if i needed to do both sides but it may have just been the side that the strap is in contact on the opposite side of the bracket maybe- AuroraGirl

id also recommend a different alternator, one with a modern regulator like cs130 to cs130d and ad230 will have a soft start feature, meaning no belt loading until the engine is running less likely to squeal or slip and also helps the engine by making it less resistance to turning over And good...- AuroraGirl

what year is that oil cooler from, the gmt400 have a lot of TSBs about them and if its from the 90s i will find some of them , because the bad issues range from leaks to oil starvation to dry starts- AuroraGirl

the reason for being scary is explained in what I wrote about the contents of the cans being filled with so much *other* than refrigerant to displace the cost of that stated ounces on the can and sound appealing for people to "top up" a leaking system- AuroraGirl
