Hard to say w/o looking up the part numbers in the GM parts book. The check valve is 4 port, I've not been able to locate one on the interwebs. Delay valve might be available
All TVS are coolant controlled. I think there are 2 on the 1983 M engine, one 2 port and one 4 port. You are asking about the two port circled only controls the distributor vacuum advance - dashed line goes to the lower port on the TVS and part of check valve nearest carb which is notionally...
Following on my May 2024 post regarding the Auxbeam 4x6 LED Headlights (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0896XXLQF/). After a 1300 mile road test, I can definitively say DONT buy these lights They are a waste of money. Even after perfect aiming, Low beam light pattern is terrible to the point...
Pull the wipers and cowl and check the seam between firewall and dash - they will always leak there. Get it super clean and prime it, paint it, let dry, then seal it up. Flexseal worked great for me
Nice! I would not use the roof rails for anything other than catching drips. They are only held on by 7mm sheet metal screws. You could use rivet nuts and some decent sealer and make it all custom https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rivet_nut
I had the same problem. Soaked everything w PB Blaster for 3 days and still no joy with the bfh. I finally used a torch to heat the flange up, and worked around the perimeter with air hammer using a wide autobody bit like these https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0BC2PY46J/ Then a couple smacks with the...
I put a FR30106BK in my 1983 Suburban. It has a D output to the intermediate shaft, the splines are for the steering wheel. If you go with this one there are a few things to consider. See my post...
Sounds like nylon pin that joins the upper to lower shaft is broken. If you hold the lower end of the shaft in a vise, see if you can move the upper section where the tilt ball is in and out. If so the pin is sheared.
It's not a bad job to do even with engine in the truck. When I got mine years ago the EFE (exhaust butterfly) had failed closed so it basically cooked the lifter and cam. Swapped out the cam and lifters and been running great ever since. For the cam, I did have to remove radiator and cut the...
These look awesome, too bad they don't have a direct fit option for my truck. Wondering if they can be modified to accept A.I.R for the emissions challenged.
