Straighten the pan. The sheet metal bolt hole area will probably need hammered back flat again.
Those expensive plastic ribbed reusable gaskets work great if you have a new or good flat pan.
Dont use any rtv /silicone sealer

Why would you tell him to return the transgo kits and thats it? That's no help.
No showing/telling him what to modify and tools /pieces to get
Many trans shop owners use the transgo kits if only to use certain pieces and do their own personal mods

Is Por15 just a way over $$$ priced gimmick? I read somewhere that Rustoleum Semi Gloss Black is better and they are basically the same ingredients. Dont know if that's really true or not. Alkyd enamel

Id lower the front just a little to give it a Calif Rake look.
My '69 1/2ton cst/395 shortbed had 1 1/2" lower blocks on the back factory swing arm coil spring supension, and cut coils up front front, but front was real mushy so I put some cut 3/4 ton springs on the front for same front ride...
