So before we tore down for the ground up complete resto, we had the standard HEI coil and distributor on our small bock 350. Also had the sniper carb, it preformed fabulously. Never had a single issues. Turn the 1980 in to a turn key like the 90 and up trucks ran amazing.
We put a sniper on our 350 before the tear down and never had any issues with it at all. Wonder if you just got a bad unit or something. Ours worked great.
Qe just got ours sandblasted and to my suprise there was no cracks on ours. We are going to be putting the bolt on plate for good measure to keep it from cracking in the future.
He just wants it gone....again if i had the space or the time i can get my hands on an avalanche make me a retomod....but no money no time, 1 in the works right now.

Has anyone used the headliner pieces from lmc to install one. It says with slight modifications you can use the pieces for pre 1981. Just curious.
We are thinking about installing a headliner and looking into it.
SEM has a Color Coat line that I used to repaint my column. I de-greased the crap outta it hit it with a soft scotch bright pad. wiped her down again then painted looks great.
Standard motor products make a heat shield material that can be placed over the wires to guard them from the heat you should be able to pick some up at any good part store or order it online. Part #hp2670 it is technically a spark plug boot protector. however can be used for wires just the same.
Once I got home.from work I opened the pick back up on a real computer not my work p.o.s. and I realized my error. We might be doing something way different than anyone has ever seen as far as a paint scheme. Have to maybe figure in some hood scoops. Do not like the current offerings on the...

My 1st question is "will a 81-89 insert fit in the 80 dash pad?
We are in need a new Dash pad anyways.
Next 2nd question " if...
