    Rear Brakes Locking Up

The first question was asking if the rear brakes were locking up before the work was done, did you not drive it before? The reason for the second question was “stock replacement” could still be wrong parts, due to different options many incorrect parts can still bolt right on and sometimes even...

    Rear Brakes Locking Up

A few clarifying questions: Did the problem exist before replacing everything? if not did you verify your new wheel cylinders and calipers had the same diameter pistons as the originals?

If you’re the type to make your own you could mold some Kydex to make a tailgate cap

I can’t remember what brand they were but I think I had them ordered through O’reilys and picked them up at the store. IIRC I saved a bunch on shipping doing it that way

Questions for expierienced ultrasonic cleaner users

We used to use 110 volt “stingers” to pre heat the sonic cleaners we had. Heat makes a big difference in the cleaning power on sonic machines. https://a.co/d/gc0TPGa We didn’t worry too much about having everything perfect, we just put everything in the dunk basket and pressed start. We had...

    Bed liner paint.

For about the same cost in materials and prep you could do a single stage 2K urethane paint job with generic or Summit brand products. Paint won’t hide any existing flaws is the biggest difference, it also takes a little more thought before you start spraying.

New Hinge Alignment with NO Reference Marks

Honestly Sir… It’s a trial and error thing to fit doors. Had you asked before I would have recommended fitting the doors first before painting the jambs and leaving them on from that moment forward. I had mine on and off 20+ times to get them fit before starting bodywork, I didn’t dare take...

    Brake Pedal Arm Assembly

Not too sure what exactly you’re looking for… My pedal bracket is from a manual truck converted with an auto brake pedal. There are some thin nylon bushing inserts the pedal arm rides on, I can’t remember if there’s a sleeve or anything to prevent it from binding. It’s bolted together with a...

    Drop 4x4?

I know spring shops can re-arch springs and add leaf's to make lift springs from stock springs... It's possible you could get a spring service to reduce the arch on your front spring to return it to stock height. When I had my springs arched in 1997 it cost me $25 per spring for the labor and...

1985 C20: Carb not getting fuel

Any time my carb lost its prime I would need to pour fuel straight into it to get it started. After a start it would stay primed. Also At one point my tank switch valve went bad, it would lose prime trying to suck air from whichever side tank was empty so I bypassed the valve and only used...

Do I even need a gas tank vent tube?

Once upon a time when I worked at a Full Service gas station, many of the squares (and a few others) we would flip the hose nozzle upside down and they would pump without interruption.

Disassemble Clean Roller Lifters, for L31 Vortec SBC

Great write up! I went through this when I did the L31 for the Squircle. Getting them apart with the oil varnish groove is a PIA, but they go right back together once it’s cleaned out

    5.3 LS SWAP 82 C10 QUESTIONS

I know Holley makes retrofit fuel pumps with a big sock on the bottom that works without baffling. They were stupid expensive when I was looking.
