    Speaking of dash pads......

I like their seats - alot. Needs headrests though IMO. That dash is interesting...but if you're going to demand that kind of coin, it better be more interesting than a Herman Munster prosthetic added to the top. The way that insert fits in the upper right corner (on the passenger side) is...

    Speaking of dash pads......

FWIW.....the company that makes these is TMI. They also make door panels ($1400-1800/pr), the dash ($1400-1600ea) and then a leather bench seat with fold down armrest/cupholder for the low low price of $4800. And if you have any money left, IIRC there's a standard headliner for about $600 too...

    USA1 Industries

I love their stuff but they burned the proverbial bridge with me long ago. I get anxiety at just the thought of ordering from them again.

Wiring harness advice pertaining to bulkhead and smoothing firewall

I've never seen another brand with the large bulkhead connector like GM had. Most others I've messed with would go to weather proof underhood relay boxes and then into the dash on both sides via the fenders/A-pillars with fuse panels on the firewall under the dash. I had planned to use the...

What new tools have you got lately?

Look up Derale 15300. Its a 16 row trans cooler that has more links to air compressors than transmissions. lol There are a bazilion videos on YT showing it and the results. Most say 90-95% of the water is removed. A couple use a digital thermal reader - air coming out of the pump and going into...

    Auxiliary trans oil cooler

Not sure why you'd want to. Aftermarket coolers are pretty cheap and very efficient.

    Speaking of dash pads......

Seen these before here and there on resto-mods. Apparently some place in Covina (?) CA makes them. No idea how much but I imagine they're pretty proud of them. I have mixed feelings about it - kind of cool but I think to re-orientate the vents vertically might look better with the higher dash...

Paint codes are 66 - Indian Bronze // 61 Doeskin Interior 62C - Saddle Tan The bench seat is almost mint and may be available if I can find the seat I want. Also have the tan seat belts too. You may not be that far away.

What new tools have you got lately?

Not sure if this counts as a tool, but still messing with my air compressor plumbing. Trying to create a perfectly dry/clean air side from an air manifold for painting. Have a trans cooler to use for an aftercooler, then will go through a water separator, then into the tank, then to a manifold...

    Tool battery mod with pics

There used to be a place about 2hrs south of here that refurbed bad batteries. I have a collection of 18v DeWalts that failed.....open it up and there is about 15+ C sized batteries all tack welded in series. Bad ones have 2-3 blown/leaking batteries. I figured I could take a couple good ones...

    Prep/paint metal dash recommendations???

I'm kind of at the same spot but my dash is totally removed. The plan is (at this point) to sand and paint it just like the body, but only wet sanding (maybe) and buffing the bottom half thats seen. From the looks of things the factory sprayed it like they did everything else, while it was in...

What ya'll think of these new wheels/tires? I dig em. Any shock suggestions?

I have the same issue with my Outlaws - kind of thinking about making a cap or something for the fronts so I could use a (custom) 4x4 logo. That open look is pretty badass by itself. All the black lugs really looks good. Sexy. :hat:

    Bvllsh!t on craigslist.

Wonder if he'd ship? One good kick in the right place and you could probably scoop it into one of those giant padded envelopes. Flat rate even.

Love them. How does the center caps fit with the 4WD hubs?

Anyone use this R4 A/C conversion kit?

I get it - but still wonder if VA couldn't sell you what you need cheaper. Their entire setups are not much more than that.

Anyone use this R4 A/C conversion kit?

IMO, thats awfully steep $$-wise for what it is. Going into winter you can buy a GOOD compressor (Sanden) for about $250. The accumulator (small silver can) is about $30. The lines can be made (or ordered from Vintage Air) for about $125 total. Surprised there is no condenser with this setup...

    Wiring harness options

Painless makes a SB replacement kit for $700ish. I got a Painless kit that had more circuits and was still for a chevy column for about half that. Can get the new connectors for the large gang firewall connector at Rock. Will locate all the PNs if need be.

Trailer Hitch - Factory Step Bumper

I should add.....that drawing was done by someone who never saw either the hitch or the frame before. The side 'arms' of the hitch that go towards the front of the truck were in mid air - nothing there to bolt to. Course, they claim this hitch fits trucks from 1960s to the 2000s. Some...
