    LMC bucket seats arrived.

Sorry if I missed it- what are these going in? A truck? Or Blazer/Suburban?

Rough and shaking 350 after changing spark plugs

If it is newer than a 1975 HEI became the standard. Try to find a cap and rotor that uses brass contacts vs the cheaper aluminum ones.

Rough and shaking 350 after changing spark plugs

How is your distributer cap looking? Terminals on the inside look good? Rotor look good? A lot of carbon? Or if you pull the coil pack up inspect the rubber washer and the carbon button. I've heard stories that the high resistance versions of these can get very got and can cause failures...

    Rough country trash?

It just depends on your preference, truck build, and what you use it for. Some people use a slide in camper- for them a sway bar would be almost required. If you have tires almost too big for your lift a sway bar limits articulation and might help save your fenders a bit. If you want the softest...

    Rough country trash?

I'd try to move the ends up a bit and wire it up and out of the way of the axle. (at least for test driving to see what you think).

    Np203 Transfer case problem

I even confuse myself if it has been a few months since I've driven it. I finally ordered shift knobs that have laser engravings showing what they do. Hopefully they are here tomorrow.

    Np203 Transfer case problem

I use it when driving up to old fire lookouts in the summer (or any very steep climb). The roads are typically very rough and steep. 2wd was all that was needed and the speeds typically were 25 mph and under. Using 2wd low reduced lugging the engine climbing then when descending there were...

Rough and shaking 350 after changing spark plugs

Ugh. I didn't see you had a 1986. I had one and there are plastic vacuum lines everywhere like what Geoff said. My dad back then had a 1987 and it was way simpler! I found a vacuum diagram: it is for a 305 but think it is the same? Might be of some help. Before poking around at each one can try...

    Best 8 inch lift kit

    Shocks and valving

Want a free experiment? Try unbolting your sway bar from the axle and wire it up out of the way. When lifted sway bars limit the axle movement. I was amazed at how much better it rode. Some don't like it, and maybe you won't. Then bolt it back on. OR: if you like it but miss the corning...

Great looking truck. Nice to see others from Montana here. BTW- your tires are mounted backwards... ;)

Rough and shaking 350 after changing spark plugs

Check to make sure you didn't have a plug wire pop off. I've had them back off on a spark plug or on the distributor end before.

6" lift what wheel and tire size can I fit? I want 35's but don't know how wide of a tire and rim i can fit.

Have any more pictures? How far out from the fender do the tires extend?

6" lift what wheel and tire size can I fit? I want 35's but don't know how wide of a tire and rim i can fit.

I had to run that thru an online calculator as offset doesn't mean a whole lot to me. -34 offset on a 10" wheel is 4.16" of backspace. I had some 16x8 wheels with 4.25" backspace (-6 offset) when I ran my 315s. Your wheels will make the tire stick out 1.1" farther than mine did then. I now...

6" lift what wheel and tire size can I fit? I want 35's but don't know how wide of a tire and rim i can fit.

The wheel diameter doesn't matter. It is the wheel backspace or offset that will matter. The less backspacing you have the more "room" the tire/wheel need to pivot around on the front axle. And when I ran 315/75R16 tires I didn't need to re-gear. I have 4.10s However I have a 383 that puts...

    Front 2-3" Springs

After going over some rough terrain did you ever get out and put your hand on the shocks? For many years I didn't think things felt very "controlled" and then one summer while in the local ORV park I got out and put my hand on my front shocks- and promptly burned my fingers. So I bought some...

    Front 2-3" Springs

How did your front springs get bent anyway? Did you lower the bumpstops to prevent them from over compressing?

Let's see those 4x4 Squares On Dirt!

I have been waiting to fix and upgrade a few things on my truck. Haven't hardly used it for about 10 months now. :sad72: I've been traveling for work. When I'm not traveling then I'm trying to spend time with the kids. Oldest is a senior in high school now. Going to college in the fall. Truck...

    Crossover Steering Box

I looked into Redhead and PSC as I had heard good things about them. But decided to go a cheaper route and went with a Lares 11248 unit from RockAuto 3 years ago for $336 shipped. I went with a new unit instead of one of their re-manufactured ones. And I was led to believe it was made in...

For all practical purposes a 315/75R16 is the same as a 35x12.50 There will be differences from tire manufacturer to manufacturer.

Hard to say- a 2" lift spring will lift 2" over a brand new factory ride height spring. So sometimes you put on a 2" lift and it actually raises it lets say 4". Now the new lift springs will settle a bit over the first year or so, but the unexpected additional 1" would be from how badly the...
