Rear wheels are sucked in way more than front. K10. Adapters? BAD IDEA? pics inside

I think you are attacking the wrong guy here. @Blackbeard44 NEVER asked anything. This thread was started by @Nasty-LSX who had a legitimate question. There really is no reason for anyone to be mean or get upset here. @Ricko1966 I completely agree with you that anytime you add a...

Rear wheels are sucked in way more than front. K10. Adapters? BAD IDEA? pics inside

Okay, the width difference is 3.1". You need 1.5" spacers. I tried to measure mine but it cannot be done without pulling the wheel off. But it is 1.5", I am sure of it. This pic was taken as part of this discussion in an older thread on this forum.

I cannot remember and I am not avoiding you... well, I am procrastinating. I hate to make our Northern Members jealous but I have been cutting grass all day. Yes, I have been on the d***ed lawn mower most of the day. Then I had to grill fish and vegetables for Mrs. Redfish's supper.

Rear wheels are sucked in way more than front. K10. Adapters? BAD IDEA? pics inside

Some of that logic is based more on opinion than fact anyway. Ford had some great promotional stuff for the first year of the First Gen Bronco. They made it a point to show that the front and rear axles were EXACTLY the same...for Better Traction! There is a wonderful Ford produced video on...

Rear wheels are sucked in way more than front. K10. Adapters? BAD IDEA? pics inside

My '87 has spacers in the rear to make the wheels line up. I was going to remove them but my Dear Old Dad asked me not to do so. He told me that was something that had always bothered him about his '77 GMC and Mom's '84 Blazer. He apparently hated it more than I realized. It has never...

    Rear Bumper 1986 K10

In the '70s (and before) I remember all brands of pickup trucks often wearing rear bumpers that were installed at the dealership. Usually these were painted instead of chrome and would have the dealership name stamped into the metal. My Dad's '77 GMC had this. Dealers were happy to install a...

I didn't want to...but old age is happening.

Wheel not centered in. . .

One other thing that may happen is to get the "turnbuckle" on the steering far enough out of adjustment that the wheels actually do steer/turn further one way than the other. To check this simply get the front wheels pointing as directly forward as possible. At this point the steering wheel...

    Unusual radio issue

After I finished the re-wiring of the '73 Bronco, brother-in-law had someone else install a RetroSound radio. And then Weird Things began to happen. The instrument panel lights stayed on anytime the key was on and they were VERY BRIGHT. The parking/running lights were on all around but they...

    2003 Acura MDX

I don't see anything at all wrong with that vehicle. Style is good for weekends and special events. Reliability and comfort are good for everything else. This entire deal is proof that Good Things happen to Good People. Enjoy it or sell it and enjoy whatever it helps you purchase.

Are these dual shocks factory. Pic inside. 1987 K10 long bed truck

My '87 V1500 doesn't have dual shocks. I don't recall any of those trucks coming with a dual setup from the factory but that doesn't mean they didn't. Why do you only have one leaf spring? Those trucks came with two leaf springs on the front. You know that in '87 they were no longer K10...

Lacking power, 87 Sierra 5.7l TBI

That is absolutely a possibility. Mine was doing that and the difference was significant. Glad you remembered that component, I changed/replaced so much on my '87 that I seem to have forgotten half of it!

Lacking power, 87 Sierra 5.7l TBI

The Magic Wire has to be unplugged on the TBI trucks to eliminate the spark advance and allow you to check the timing. It is a single wire, the plug is just to the side of the steering column and beneath the brake booster. Unplug it with the engine off. Check/set the timing with the engine...

Lacking power, 87 Sierra 5.7l TBI

I would think that if you have the breather cover off and the engine running you can see if the injectors are both pulsing.

Lacking power, 87 Sierra 5.7l TBI

I would be curious about the exhaust, to add to @squaredeal91 said, is the catalytic convertor still on the truck? Restricted/plugged exhaust is a possibility after all these years. I would want to know about the timing. Get a timing light, unplug the magic wire (its under the brake booster)...

    55 Chevy Step Side 3100

I took this pic at Cruisin the Coast because this truck is the same color as my friend's. I take pics of these trucks and send them to him just to torment him for letting that truck sit and rot.

    55 Chevy Step Side 3100

@Vbb199 first, it is GREAT to see you posting here again. Second, my best friend drove a '55 like that when we were in high school and college. It was painted the same blue as the passenger fender in your last pic, the color under the 3100 badge. They still have the truck but it hasn't...

    2 inch Rough Country Lift 76 K10

I went with a Skyjacker lift and modified it slightly to suit my taste. You can call it a 2 inch lift. I am running the 33x12.50-15 Coopers. This is MY look, it may not be what you want.

    Decorative front license plate poll

I put a fake license plate on the front of mine with the year of the truck. I enjoy folks asking me what year it is but I figured it would be nice at car shows and really anywhere I might leave it parked. My home state of Louisiana doesn't require a front plate so this didn't create any legal...

    New TBI injectors causing surging

You can buy a throttle body rebuild kit that includes the Orings and whatever else is required to freshen up your original injectors. It's not expensive, I picked one up from O'Reilly's.

IS 350 TBI compatible with E10?

I have been running E10 in my 1987 TBI with no apparent issues. It probably has some effect on the rubber components of the fuel system but I have not seen that yet. I switch from E10 to pure gasoline depending on availability and honestly cannot tell any difference in performance or fuel mileage.

    Pulling all the smog stuff

Every single time I open the hood of my '87 I am grateful that it is not the '84 my Mom owned. I am slowly doing what I can to restore mine to all of the original components. I want to get it back to what it was originally. But we do not all want the same thing. I have seriously considered...

    1987 R10 Radiator Leak

I just replaced mine and I was In A Hurry with no time to explore options. I went with a direct replacement from O'Reilly's because I Needed It Right Now! and couldn't be picky. I know we all hate the idea of plastic...but my 2500HD Duramax came with a plastic and aluminum radiator and it...
