    I had to do TWO sets of belts. Take apart the replacement ones, remove covers. Take apart my old ones then switch covers. I was doing the 3rd cover before a had a spring go flying. It WAS quite surprising. Ha ha . But yes, it is incredibly tedious.

    Cleaned it up, changed out a couple ground cables for some thick boys I made from welding leads, and changed out short filter and air cleaner lid for the taller Big Block style air cleaner.

    PCV manifold or ported vacuum?

    carb number 17083442. Here is a photo of the vacuum diagram under my hood. It shows a hose from carb to T and one side of T goes to PCV, other side goes to Decel Valve (whatever that is), and small fitting on top of PCV valve goes to cannister.

    Great, that's how it is. Could bad PCV valve cause massive oil consumption.
