Holley street warrior 600cfm for sbc 355?

I ended up buying the carb anyway due to the steal of a price I got it for, so will see how it preforms, worst case I can sell it for at least what I paid and can go with one of the other options mentioned (At least it looks good on there lol)

Holley street warrior 600cfm for sbc 355?

Thank you for the input, I did notice the drivers side inlet which isn’t the biggest deal but is definitely inconvenient for making things look neat and clean

Hydro boost brakes awful sound after finishing motor swap

I haven’t tried yet, the truck was running with the diesel and everything worked properly until I did the swap so air would definitely make sense, I’m going to bleed it and see what happens, I just didn’t think air would produce that much noise but starting to seem like that’s what it is

Hydro boost brakes awful sound after finishing motor swap

I have just completed a Oldsmobile diesel to sbc 355 swap and on my first start every sounded great but the first time I pushed my brakes in it make a grinding noise, and would go away when I let off, I’ve had the truck running about 10 times since then and would come on randomly at idle, now...

Olds 350 diesel to sbc swap

Thank you! Really appreciate it. I have all the papers on this truck and know the history very well and very pleased with the fact it has little to no rust being all original and being made at the Oshawa plant in Ontario and never left Ontario, sat for 15 years in the early 90s so not much...

Olds 350 diesel to sbc swap

I have now got the truck running and going through the struggles of tuning now but it took me longer than I was hoping to get to this point so my plan is to run the one tank for now (hoping to drive the truck once or twice before the roads are salted) and will mess with the other one in the...

    Sbc 350 vacuum hose help

Ya I’m actually not sure if mine works or not as I only drove it a few times before doing the swap so will leave it for now. What’s your brake booster situation? I don’t see any traditional brake booster like the gas trucks came with.

    Sbc 350 vacuum hose help

I think it’s because it was originally a diesel, seems to have twice as much **** when it comes to wires and stuff

    Sbc 350 vacuum hose help

Ya there is a lot alike, what’s your opinion on what to do with the cruise control vacuum lines, is it possible to make that one line and run it to the carb?

    Sbc 350 vacuum hose help

Yes it is a steel line up until the top of the passenger valve cover and I was going to run rubber hose from there to the intake if that seems alright?
  18. Ryanbrown36

    Sbc 350 vacuum hose help

Yes I believe that’s the cruise control

    Sbc 350 vacuum hose help

Hey guys, just finishing my olds diesel to sbc 350 in my 1981 sierra and I noticed two vacuum lines that I’m not sure where they need to go. I’m assuming the small trans line goes to the manifold port on the back of the intake and thought these went to the carb but there’s two lines so not sure...

Olds 350 diesel to sbc swap

Yes they are definitely pretty rare now, partially why I bought it as it was a little different than all the other squares out there, and the body is basically perfect. I’m 100 percent leaving on the diesel badges bc I like how they are unique.

Olds 350 diesel to sbc swap

I did look into this before my swap although this motor swap already has me in over my head as I don’t have anyone to really help so it’s all what I can find on the internet. Would’ve been sweet to do it though.

    transmission/oil cooler lines

The truck is a 81, I think I forgot to mention that it has a stand alone cooler (that has 4 ports). Yes I did end up keeping the mounts as someone offered me $100 for them, is that a alright price for them?

    transmission/oil cooler lines

I will take some when I’m off work tonight

    transmission/oil cooler lines

I would but my radiator doesn’t have any ports for the transmission cooler

    transmission/oil cooler lines

I am not sure if it is a factory cooler but if I had to guess I would say yes, I believe the two extra ports used to run to an oil cooler at the oil filter. I would prefer to not have to buy a new radiator if possible. My heater core lines currently run through the rad if that helps and all...
