New kid on the (small) block.

Welcome from Oregon. The hardest part of working on these trucks is to decide how far and how much you want to put into it. Then trying to stop when you get there. (you can't)

    Craziest antitheft idea yet.

We have a blue t connection to our phones so if the thing starts it pops up on the phone. Takes a photo of the thief and puts the car into "safe mode (It will only go about 15 mph.) Wife and I both "carry" so if we are close enough problem solved.

    Chevy C10 "Build"

I am about 8 months into my second square body build. The last one took me about 3 1/2 years and cost $26K. The red 73 on my profile. As for his choice as to what his truck looked like when he was done, that is always up to the owner. The thing that kind of bugged me was his reference to how if...

    Thermostat 195?

I had my truck overheat on a short road trip so I stopped and ran into a small town parts store and bought a new one. I bought the cheapest one they had, I know brain dead right? It lasted for one month and one day when it started running hotter but not into the red. I bought an AC Deco and...

    It’s a disease

Welcome to the Square Body nut house. I am on my 4th and have had it tore apart for 3.5 months. I have three "books" running for this one. Book one is a three ring binder with all of my receipts and a running total. Don't cheat here. Number two book is a note pad that I keep track of all my...

Ran yesterday but not today… just bought it yesterday!

If it's a 1406 I think your vac advance hose is hooked up to the wrong side. The side with the vac cap is the metered side and is where the vac advance hose should be connected. The side its connected to is just straight vac from the manifold. I would hook up the choke as it doesn't hurt...

Clean old windows- years of gunk!

I use a wetsponge buffing pad and some polishing compound. It even takes off old water spots and baked on crud.

    The old 700R4 questions!

Well at least I gave you a chance to bellow at someone. I was a service manager at a Chevy dealership in a small farming community. I can only speak from my experience when the first 700R4 came out. Lots of farmers and loggers bought new trucks and for whatever reason the transmissions failed...
