Are OE lug studs long enough? 77 C10

I’ve had a few sets of aluminum wheels pass through my hands. Each set I was tempted into putting on my square, and each set got passed on to the next guy because there was no way I was putting new studs all the way around just for that. So I’ve always stuck with factory steel wheels. Anyway...

Desperately look for this trim piece

Interesting. Mines a custom deluxe. Strange that it has this strip, the only other chrome is the grill and headlight surrounds. Just seems random.

Desperately look for this trim piece

Yea. Like I said, he’s cheap lol. So, the idea was to order a strip down model except for the 350, the gauge package, four wheel drive, dual exhaust, and the big tire package. You know, the essentials. Then add AC, a radio and dome light to save money. He said the funny thing is that he spent...

1985 Custom Deluxe non-rally steel wheel

I’ve only ever known them as Steelies, or steel wheels. Love them and the hubcaps though. I like them painted white, I’ve never really liked color matched wheels. Gotta have some contrast.

    Mileage question/opinion

You’re welcome. It very well could be that low mileage of a truck, especially if it was used for what you describe. The brake pedal could be worn that much in 62k, as everything else seems to indicate a low mileage truck. Mine smoked terribly at 110k, but it had a hard life too.

    Mileage question/opinion

Based on the brake pedal wear, I’d say it’s 152,000. But that’s just my opinion. It could vary if it was mainly driven around town with a lot of stop and go traffic.

    Bowtie Brush guard.... Opinions?

It’s an interesting idea, but I wouldn’t want one. Rather have the old style push bar if anything.

Desperately look for this trim piece

It’s a strange one though. Dad was too cheap to buy a radio or AC, he definitely wouldn’t spring for a random piece of chrome that’s useless. I’m thinking more of a mess up at the factory. Maybe that hood wasn’t originally intended for the truck, but it got installed anyway.

    Painting rally wheel rim

When I painted my wheels, I wanted the factory white. After some research, I ended up with Dover Arctic White from Oreillys. It looks spot on.

Desperately look for this trim piece

Well that’s an interesting tidbit, because my truck has one. As you know, mine is very low on options, like three lol. No chrome trim whatsoever, no ac, radio, etc. But, it’s got this chrome piece on the hood….

    1989 Chevy K1500

Looking good. You’re gonna make me go pull that dunked 98 out of my dad’s field and start working on it….

    2002 RAV4 massive oil leak

I may, just to verify. But, my dad said it was smoking on top of the low coolant so that’s consistent with the head gasket. I’m not really sure why it was forcing oil out though…

    2002 RAV4 massive oil leak

Well. I ended up taking insurance off this thing until I could get around to it. I ended up hauling it to my dad’s house, and he took it to a nearby shop. He said it started getting hot and was low on coolant when he was taking it over, which was strange since it had less than 5 miles on the new...

    Sport Mirror Location

Here are some pics of them in person, these are original equipment for this truck. Sorry I can’t get exact measurements, I’m 100 miles away from it. And I’ll agree with the above, they are useless for actually doing mirror stuff.

    I’ll check that out too.

    2002 RAV4 massive oil leak

Alright, I’ll see what’s going on with that thing. Maybe it’s that simple, a cracked sensor or blown seal.

    2002 RAV4 massive oil leak

Just another picture I found of the location of the leak.

    2002 RAV4 massive oil leak

Well, that’s a start. I’m hesitant to start taking it apart, right now I can still crank and move it out of the way if I need to. Once I start taking stuff off, moving it around gets a whole lot harder. If I can’t fix it cheaply and relatively easily, then I’ll probably just park it and save...

    I guess I should mention, it’s the 2 liter 4 cylinder, automatic.

    2002 RAV4 massive oil leak

Hopefully someone here has some insight. Back in January, my Rav radiator sprung a leak. It got parked until a couple weeks ago, because I have my truck and I drive my patrol car daily. So I finally got around to putting a radiator in, and that went smoothly. I pulled it up to the driveway and...

4x4 with 31x10.5/15 tire. Anyone running this size tire on stock lift??

Here ya go. 78 k10, factory ride height and 31 10.50 on 8 inch wheels. I love it. The 235’s look too small to me.

    Headlights quit working

I second this. Was cruising home one night, pitch black country road, and hit the dimmer because of an oncoming car and bam, no lights. Stomped the switch a couple times until I got high beams back and then drove home. I would definitely check the dimmer switch first.

I finally realized why I like working on my '81 C10 so much

Well, having ac present, and having ac WORKING is two different things lol. It was in there but it was just taking up space because it didn’t work. So there’s that.

I finally realized why I like working on my '81 C10 so much

Well, the Silverado trims are much more comfortable I’m sure. But a strip down custom deluxe with no ac and no insulation or sound deadening makes for a loud, moist ride. And vinyl seats make you sweat no matter what season it is lol. That being said, I do like the simplicity of my square...
