    Air Filter Breather

I have an account on "pull-a-part" and have set up email notifications for vehicles I'm interested in. The only issue I have had with it...a huge delay between the time a vehicle hits the yard and the email notification. 2 to 3 weeks is a typical delay. The other hiccup is I have never seen any...

thread size for door lock knobs?

Last year, I needed to remove the door panel and the lock knob needed to come off as well. No matter what I ttied, the knob wouldn't budge. I was ready to just take a hammer to it. At a last desperate act I referenced a repair manual. The manual referenced a tool number, so I went online and...

Shout out to @bucket : Thank you sir for "kick'n it". For my "Intake Breather wanted" post, I got a PM that said, hey I know this guy parting out an old Chevy car." And it gave me an email. So, I emailed the guy last night and he replies this morning. I ask for photos of both top and bottom of...

    Air Filter Breather

I have a 78 C10 350 with original 4brl Quadrajet. I am looking for an original intake air filter breather and lid (if available). The snorkle does not have to be intact. i.e. hacked off is ok. Post a couple decent pics. Thanks group.

I like that. Pray, then spray. Insightful.

    New paint gun

One of my reasons for getting this Inokraft gun was the availability of parts and support. I completely understand the thoughts of buying a $10 or $15 gun, use it and when it eventually fails, toss it and buy another. I'm a bit old skool. I like to be able to learn the characteristics of a tool...

    New paint gun

Will do. I will do a seperate write up for the various panels that need paint...the roof and both front fender rockers. But my practice shoots will be on my Taco. Both front fenders and pass door.

    New paint gun

Yes, I intentionally went with LPLV and from what I was seeing, that is supposed to be a better set up for metalic flake automotive. I have no experience with it. My only recent experience has been shooting the hood on my Taco with the Harbor Freight HVLP gun. This new gun has 3 tips and needles...

    New paint gun

I think the thing I dispise the most is not being able to deal with them face to face. This kind of shananigins would get resolved real quick....and most likely with me needing a lawyer on retainer and a good bail bondsman...lol

    New paint gun

Good evening, (in the voice of Alfred Hitchcock)..lol Fresh from the postman, my new Inokraft D1. I've seen some good reviews and figured it a step up from the $30 Hazard Fraught gun. I'll use that one for primer. Everything seems well machined and of good fitment. However I have not yet...

What did we do before cup holders?

I can remember driving to work with a cup of coffee setting on the floorboard. And if some remember, some of the insulated coffee cups were shaped like a pyramid and some were weighted. But folks were a bit more robust back then & able to drive for a hour or two without "needing" a beverage in...

    Quadrajet

1705-7213 GMC Quadrajet. Completely rebuilt. Primary butterfly shaft bores with new bronze bushing. Professionally rebushed by a master machinist, on a Bridgeport mill with DROs. Secondary ports polished with all internal casting seams blended out. (see photo) This is a very clean carb that is...

    Quadrajet Primary Shaft Bushings

Cliff's rebuild kit came Friday, but I was a tad busy this weekend to get after it. Cliff's kit included a spring, screws and cam for the secondary upper butterfly. It only took about 15 minutes to get the upper butterfly out and cleaned up. Cliff will also include a 6-32 screw upgrade for the...

    Quadrajet Primary Shaft Bushings

So while I wait for the carb rebuild kit to arrive, time at the soft wire wheel removes the crust and brightens things up. If it was much warmer out, rustolum silver paint would be shot on all steel parts. But since it's only 25° outside, I'll have to do something else. I have thought about...

    Quadrajet Primary Shaft Bushings

I gave a bit more thought to the comment that this is nothing more than a boobtube video. Obviously I disagree.. If this was nothing more than a tuber video, I would know the number of people who have watched it. I would be asking for subscribers and know those numbers too. I would making money...

Well, crack a brew and enjoy the entertainment. I hope this thread serves as an inspiration for others putting up with that carb that stumbles on idle and hates to start.
