    Interesting! Thanks for the idea. With that you could hang the pump on any block with the fuel pump boss, just cut the lever flat. Could make a real clean install in place of a by-pass regulator.

    Move the ring gear away from the pinion. Worn gears have more lash. This may yield a better pattern. In the future, when dealing with used gears it is a good idea to record the current lash.

    Vacuum lines where do they go

    In this picture it looks like you have two PCV valves, one in each valve cover. You should not have two valves, just one. The other valve cover should have a breather, or hooked to a tube with the breather in the air filter housing. Two PCV valves could lean out the carb's fuel mixture.

    Leaking vacuum brake booster would give those symptoms. If the diaphragm in the booster has a crack, you would not have the vacuum leak until you apply the brakes.

    You are correct, your truck is not correct. 5/8" hose from the intake manifold to the heater core. 3/4" hose from heater core to the water pump, or the radiator, not both. This diagram @AuroraGirl posted is good, one or the other.

    Corner dash speakers are 3.5". Factory dash speakers have a special mount. To use aftermarket speakers you can get adapters or dedicated speakers from Crutchfield and other sources.
