    Thanks. Installing a front hitch is on my project list. I have one of those steps that go over the tire. The hood gets in the way using it. I usually use a portable work platform, it's much better than a step ladder. The bumper step is perfect for when you are on the road.

    Is that a swing out step on the front or one mounted in a receiver hitch? Its a cool idea either way.

    1987 sbc long block valve cover oil cap

    I have the same covers on my truck. The cap has an O-ring and some course threads on it. Try and look for a 86-92 F body cap or early 90's truck cap.

    I'm thinking on some aftermarket distributors they come with a lock out plate that keeps you from running any vacuum advance. A lot of drag race cars are run with no vac. advance. Some guys weld stop on the stock plates.

    I also added a sill plate to cover up some rust. I cut these with a cut off wheel. I used double sided tape to attach them. I couldn't see paying $$ for the ones from LMC.     I added an air dam to my truck. It didn't add as much in the looks department as I hoped for. I had to cut into 3 pieces in order for it to clear the tow (recovery) hooks.     The 383 would basically be a new rebuilt engine. The stock fuel , and ignition system would work well for the 383. I would add long tube headers. A hydraulic roller cam, carb, and good dual plane intake. If you could afford a set of heads, I would do that also. The 6.0's have some issues...

    I would leave them on. It's getting difficult to find accessories for these old trucks. If you do remove them keep them or sell them to some one wanting to use them.

    I bought the cab corner bow tie trim from LMC. It was from GM restoration. I'm guessing the fender emblems are from GM also due to the price. They are licensed products. So LMC , or GM resto.

    Agree with your statement. I had issues with the 4l60E in my Camaro. The computer would struggle to get the shift points right at the drag strip. I contacted Rossler transmissions. I sent him the tranny and they put a vacuum control module on it. Problem solved. They might do it for the 80E's...

    Anyone have a LS swapped 3+3?

    The Eddy system has gone up in price about 600 to 700 over the last few years. I was planning on running it, bought a new fuel tank sending unit, and pump. I just can't justify the cost for now.

    Thats one nice interior errr. whole truck. Thanks for the answer. I'm thinking of getting the aluminum ones. My plastic ones are beat. The light up ones are cool but expansive and I don't think they would last on a daily driver.

    Oreily's have the WAI brand . They are new not rebuilt . It fixed my 85's wipers.
