    key buzzer switch

Do you mean the little plastic thingy, with the two copper prongs right over the ignition tumbler, inside the column? Because that's what activates the key buzzer.

Yeah, when they said lets pull out something new different, lets not tell them about it. And then they show up on the Honda. I was like WTFFFFFFF!

Valve covers & engine covered in oil

Thought I'd update the thread. Come to find out, my 1406 Eddy was running rich for years. I rebuilt it, changed out the jets, and fine tuned it. Ever since(been 6 months now), my valve covers are clean as a whistle. Who'd of thought!

    Stupid question... maybe?

To a degree, Its the nature of the beast. It magnifies with a lift and bigger tires, especially turning the wheels at a stand still on concrete or pavement. The front to back motion of the steering box and drag link is the force that wants to tip your axle to and fro, if anything is loose or...

    Steering Gear Box Adjustment

I've played around with the gear box adjustments for years on old, new, and rebuilt. I could never get all the play out of them for the life of me. Especially on lifted squares with big ass tires. I gave up on it sometime ago, I figured it is what it is, its not rack n pinion.

Removing short bottom leaf from spring pack

Here's a vid I took cruising down the freeway from Tucson to Phoenix a few days ago, after the 2 bottom leafs were removed from the packs. It was so nice to drive at 75 mph, and not have my hood shaking all over the place, feeling every crack, crevice and pebble on the asphalt. I would say its a...

Removing short bottom leaf from spring pack

Yeah that's exactly what I did, I just tightened them down nice and snug, enough to where it felt good. But I do remember someone on here saying there was a torque spec on them, because they gotta have some room to move. Thanks Bucket. If my calculations are correct, I only lost the hight of...

Does anybody know what the torque specs on the shackles and front hanger bolts are?

Removing short bottom leaf from spring pack

OK, so I finally got around to removing the leaves from the PROCOMP pack. I removed the bottom two leaves, added a zero-rate add a leaf, 4 1/2" HD shackles from DIY4X(1/2" longer that my stock shackles) to compensate for the height after losing two leaves. To my amazement, after its all said and...

1990 Chevy, instrument lighting has a delay

For some time now, I've noticed that when I start my truck and turn on the head lights, the instrument panel lights have a 30-40 second delay, after the headlights are on. This week the lights and the parking lamps have a 4-5 min delay. Was wondering if anybody can give me some advice on this...

    Water pump failure destroys radiator

I put a fiberglass fan off a 2000 blazer(reverse flow), on my serpentine conversion, it pulls alot more air than the metal fan, and weighs less.

    Power Steering pump differences?

Correction, the serpentine pulley is bigger than the v-belt pulley. I took in the pump, and got a new one, put it on and I'm glad to say its working as it should. Steering feels like butter again. We'll see how long this half ass autozone pump will last this time. If it goes out again, I'm gonna...

    Power Steering pump differences?

The pulleys seem to be the same diameter in size, just now I'm using a serpentine pulley instead of the v-belts.
