    Headlamp Adjusters

I just bought Dorman ones for my dually an they stripped out as soon as I tried to put tension on them with the spring. I might have to see if that will work on it. Wasted like $15 on the 4 of them, they didn't even snap into the core support very well either. :doh2: My other idea is to weld a...

Who has the best cowl hood for 85 silverado? (steel)

AMD or Key Parts for sure. Never had an issue with either if those. Might even be the same hood from both, but the fit was always good, made well decent thickness etc....

If you like the nbs stuff look at the Detroit speed kit. It uses an aluminum knuckle, the sealed unit bearings in your choice of 5x5 or 6x5.5 patterns. Then the rotors, calipers an pads from a 07+ truck. It's a nice looking kit that I've been eyeing for mine.

Fitech pressurized fuel filter replacement options

I use the 87+ efi filter on sniper setups as well with adapters for AN fittings. That way it's easy for people to find an replace later on.

    NV 4500 oil

I looked into this when I replaced mine. If the trans still has the carbon syncros you really need the MT85. It's the closest thing out to the factory oil specification wise. Other oils can cause issues in the long run, these trans are very picky about that from what I've seen

Wanna slam that 63-98 C10/C1500? Lets talk about it!

There is a discussion an pictures about what you can trim on the arms here: Post in thread 'Clearance issues with lowering spindles and what you did about it…' https://www.gmsquarebody.com/threads/clearance-issues-with-lowering-spindles-and-what-you-did-about-it%E2%80%A6.39891/post-842426

Wanna slam that 63-98 C10/C1500? Lets talk about it!

It's just the bottom portion of the tubing they use to make it on that style arm. I'll see if I can find a picture. On some arms they go ahead an bevel it but for some reason on c10 arms they don't.

With tubular arms you should be ok with a 15x8. At the most you might have to trim the lower portion of the ball joint cup if they left it long.

Wanna slam that 63-98 C10/C1500? Lets talk about it!

Well obviously there is more of a difference in the cheap spindles versus name brand, in these 1 ton 92-00 ones anyhow. Not seen such a drastic difference in C10/C1500 spindles though.

Depends on the build an the look we are after. It will basically look stock if you paint it.

Wanna slam that 63-98 C10/C1500? Lets talk about it!

I've honestly never tried but I'm about to if I can find someone with a big press lol. At this point they are useless to me and anyone else so why not. Guys I appreciate all the suggestions, but this isn't a normal slight oversized an some sandpaper will fix it. I've lowered a bunch of trucks...

Wanna slam that 63-98 C10/C1500? Lets talk about it!

It's the inner bearing, it has to be packed, in the rotor with the seal. Plus heating only gives you a few thousands of clearance. I need over half a millimeter or 2/10s of an inch. I tried sanding on it, made nearly no difference after 45 mins. I have spoken to 1 machine shop an the only way...

Wanna slam that 63-98 C10/C1500? Lets talk about it!

In the GMT 400 series 1/2 ton an "LD" 3/4 ton (aka 6 lug 2wd) use the same spindle. The 8 lugs (real 3/4 an 1 ton) use the same spindle also. The only thing that takes a bigger wheel bearing is a 3500HD, which has an ID of 42.8mm. My outer bearing fits perfectly they just didn't finish machining...

Stock spindle measurements: Spindles for the 1 tons are not as common an nearly everyone is currently out of stock so I'm having trouble locating a replacement set as well. The big name ones are all showing mid Jan delivery dates an even the cheap ones on eBay are early Feb. Again just...

Wanna slam that 63-98 C10/C1500? Lets talk about it!

OK folks I need to add a disclaimer here regarding spindles. I still stand by my statements that they are all pretty much the same an get them from whoever has the best price. However.... When they come in, check them out very well. I bought a set off ebay on a closeout sale for my 99...
