    Yes. Once it's old enough to be designated as a "Vintage" it can be registered as such. There are limitations on its use and how many miles it can "legally" be driven.

    You should start be saying why you hate the 465. Why do you want a close ratio 4 speed? Why not a 5 speed? My NV4500 will stand up to anything out there as far as durability but it shifts like a dump truck. You won't be slamming gears and looking cool but it does shift like butter and has OD.

    I'm in Southern Arizona. The state is emissions exempt except for the Phoenix & Tucson Metro areas. So, yes you must have the factory emissions the truck came with in order to register it.

    My 85 has a hydraulic clutch. I converted it from auto so I know it well. I don't know about "self-adjusting" as mine has an adjustable pushrod between the slave cylinder and the clutch arm. Adjusting the length on it moves my engagement point to some degree.

    Maybe the heater core is sufficient to cool engine at idle at that temp? Once you're under load I would doubt it. 25 isn't that cold. I have a control valve in my VA system. If the AC is on, it blocks the flow completely. It might make a difference in your case. Apparently they are useful or...

    Yep, using the ball valve off the compressor. For the truck install, I have a trailer brake valve/lever off a semi. Just got to work on the technique.
