    Headliner from RockAuto?

24 x 48 sheet at home depot is 17 bucks. Buy 2 or 3 with some ABS cement and make it into one 4 x 6 sheet for less than 75 bucks. Just need some wax paper to lay underneath the joints and scrape off afterwards.

    Headliner from RockAuto?

Seeing this makes me wonder how much a large sheet of thin ABS would cost. If you alread have a heat gun you would probably just need a helping hand or 2 (meaning the tools not a person) to hold in place while you heat the corner and edges and shape/trim it, then stuff the backside with a thin...

    1976 K20 NP203 HELP! So confused!

The irony is what messed my shoulder up most was repetitive stress, from taking glass bottles of chemicals out of cardboard boxes and occasionally the odd too heavy thing.

    1976 K20 NP203 HELP! So confused!

I would recommend while you are in there to go ahead and pull your hub housing off and replace the seals to keep water out. I just took apart a 10 bolt last weekend where they didn’t and it totally screwed up a really nice set of the high dollar warn hubs to the point where they are junk.

    1976 K20 NP203 HELP! So confused!

That was about 23 years ago and I was a lot stronger than I am now. And it was still a cursing event to say the least though. Now days I am down with the 208 because it’s what my newer rig came with and it’s plenty strong enough for most of my antics but I think also because it still has a...

    Steering wheel

I have one of the GMT400 types on my 1985. Not sure if it was born with it but it looks decent. Eventually I am replacing it with a grant and I would offer it to you but it's needed right now to wheel around the driveway.

    1976 K20 NP203 HELP! So confused!

I remember when I did the conversion on my 77. If I had known then I could have just swapped over a np208 I would have done it in an instant. The linkage on the 203 is pure junk and the thing was a beast to bench press into place on a gravel driveway. Now days I'm spoiled with a concrete...

Power REAR WINDOW, Suburban Tailgate & Blazer Troubleshooting

I'm not interested in the suburban regualtor itself, mostly just the motor and figuring out why Gm didn't (or maybe couldn't use it on the K5 regulator. It would be the easiest solution since it uses the same wiring as the K5 setup. It is attached directly to the gear drive on the regulator...

    700R4 and NP208 Removal

Yeah that thing is complete garbage and plus when you put your transmission on it you can't even get it out from underneath a stock height Jimmy. I swore after that I would never bench press the trans into place again. I was already planning to get a Hayden style aluminum transmission pan on...

Power REAR WINDOW, Suburban Tailgate & Blazer Troubleshooting

yeah i know the wiring diagram and the wiring inside the tailgate better than most but that doesn't tell me how to convert from a grounded setup to a reverse polarity switch but thanks though. It's more a custom thing, not included on the wiring diagram, because the original motor uses a...

Power REAR WINDOW, Suburban Tailgate & Blazer Troubleshooting

I've been cracking away on my K5 tailgate and am starting to realize that GM has a direct drive motor on the burn tailgates and I can't help but wonder why they didn't do that on the K5's? Does anyone know offhand? I'm about to adapt a front power motor to the setup on my K5 and the only...

    Rear bleeder access trouble

Believe it or not every Chevy guy should have this tool in their arsenal. It's called an offset brake bleeder wrench and it took me the better part of 35 years to figure out what it's purpose was when i found it in my dad's toolbox so many years ago. I've know owned once for 10 years. You just...

Need help finding info/parts for 'burb tailgate

Well, You are right, there is a spring on the clock mechanism but the part that drives it up and down that comes off the cable is called a jack screw and that is usually what impedes the proper operation. The spring is there more to equalize for the weight of the glass rather than to push the...

    10-bolt worth?

The only way you can really make it worth selling for more than 100 bucks is if it came with a 3 series diff that was a rebuildable limited slip, otherwise someone might give you around 75 to 125 bucks for it on a good day.

    Better master cylinder?

One thing I would consider is a system flush but only after checking all the other parts. Firstly take your front calipers and inspect what is going on behind the pistons in the calipers and see what the bores look like. You might have accumulated too much water or copper in your brake lines...

Wire coming out of rear shocks

You may want to consider replacing them with a new "non air" shock unless it has been sitting for some time without continuous use. If not the shocks are probably pretty old and worn out on one hand, but also air shocks were usually responsible for ripping the shock mounts out of the frames.

So Does Everyone HATE This Steering Wheel?

The factory wheel is OK for its time but as they age they produce some kind of sticky goop that is just horrible to deal with and if you try to scrape and clean it turns the wheel unusable. When it gets like that you would almost be better taking it off and rolling it around in dirt or...
