    Under dash A/C unit

I don't know about any brand other than Vintage Air to go with as far as fitment, finish, and satisfaction. I think for a whole solution that involves heat and AC there is probably no one that does a better job of using the available space in the cabs for an OEM like finish. They also seem to...

    need a front driveshaft !!!!!!!

FWIW you can buy new ones off ebay for around 250 but with a 4 inch lift you will probably want one with a CV joint added to it.

am I better staying with a 4 inch lift or going to a 6inch

Practically speaking figure out what tire you want to run, then you can figure out what lift you need (if you need it), and what gears you need to match up to it so you stay in your peak operating range, otherwise you are going to get shitty mpg's, terrible performance, and will probably end up...

    Cam Swap in Truck W/AC

ight be too late but if it is running well and returning good mpg's why not try and run something through it it that will help maybe get rid of the noise, like maybe some stiction eliminator, or a quart of trans fluid in place of a quart of oil? Sounds crazy but its old tricks like that which...

    73-75 k5 whole body/full top

So, are you wanting to put the rusty body on your 91 frame or do you just want the vital parts from the full top vehicle to transplant on your truck? I only ask because your early model body may not fit the later model frame without some frame modifications because after 1981 the tub changed...

Changing K5 tailgate to power window

To be honest you might be better off just going to Upull and taking the whole tailgate yourself or having them pull it. If they sell you all the individual pieces it will probably cost more.

    Front drive shaft is hitting

Sounds like you were definitely due for some maintenance. Hope it helped solve the issues. It's always a pain to check that stuff properly but once you find the problem and fix it you kinda fall in love with your truck all over again you know, lol.

Changing K5 tailgate to power window

I definitely was not that lucky, lol. Not sure if I have any of the pictures of when I took it apart still but it was bad. Looked like a smokers lung after I got done dumping all the rust from inside. In my case the back window wipe/seals had huge cracks and missing chunks, enough so that...

Changing K5 tailgate to power window

The cost is somewhat prohibitive for the process and if there is one thing I would recommend buying second hand (but in good shape) would be the motor if you can. Setting aside the parts you will spend upwards of about 500 plus dollars believe it or not and even then you need to make sure that...

    emission tubes on exhaust

I have seen some guys cut and fold the ends but you want to make sure and seal them well. Not sure what the tubing is but if it is steel I would make sure they are welded or otherwise it is an exhaust leak waiting to happen. Cuationary info though, in some states if they see the tubes on then...

    Aftermarket trans crossmembers

Great points there. I know I contact Scotty about a lot of side stuff personally that has nothing to do with Square body swaps and he alwyas answers his IM's. I consider him a good friend. My only regret is that I found out about him and his products after I bought the dirty dangle mounts and...

    Sold the 2013 Buick Regal

I'm not a big fan of the latest generation of the Camaros but then again I fell in love with the second gen body styles when i was barely old enough to be interested in girls so I am biased, lol. My idea of fun would be to have one of those made right around 1981, with the T tops, and swap an...

    Trans support rods

I would not spend money on them to be honest. There are far too many trucks without them. Your truck though.

    2wd lift.

Burbs' and Blazers always seem to suffer when it comes to rear springs. I'd venture your's could easily accomodate an extra spring and it would help stiffen it and not destroy the ride quality. It might also just be a case of weak springs on the rear and needing replaced. If you are going to...

    Cant remove hub. Please help

Supposedly you are supposed to do it by using the drag method on a beam Torque Wrench but I usualy just go by feel on the inner one. I know the outer one you are supposed to tighten the F out of it and people always think its supposed to be snug so it doesn't surprise me when you take a hub out...

Got a 5.3 donor, have questions..

I already blew my wad explaining on this on another post less than a day ago. You guys should really learn how to use that little search box at the top right of the page. It's not black magic you know. https://www.gmsquarebody.com/threads/ls-swap-help-with-parts-list.24341/#post-461042

Actually the computer adds the abilitiy to diagnose problems without guessing as much and provides reliable performance. Nothing wrong with mixing your peanut butter and chocolate.

LS swap help with parts list

Just to speed up your info search rather than waiting on feedback here go on facebook and look up the group called LS Swapped Square Body GM Trucks ('73-'86 C/K & '87-'91 R/V). Look in the flies section and read up there and ask questions. Plan on parsing the info accordingly If you want...

    Heavy duty tow hook option?

Wow, if someone buys those for that much then I need to blast and powder coat the set I have and put them on ebay for even more!!!

    Front drive shaft is hitting

That crossmember was the pre 85 version I think. There is a lot of debate on when it started being put in trucks and stopped. I think also it depended on if the vehicle had a th400 in it because the th400 at the time used a different adapter than the TH350 or 700r4. I think they changed...

NP833; what do I do with this?

It looks like it is cast but even then you can grind it out, weld it up and then drill it out to be perfect again.

    Front drive shaft is hitting

That is a good recommendation. Alternatively how often is the 4wd being used right now? I mean, if not needed right now just put it in 2 HI and unlock the front hubs? Obviously not a permanent solution but I just ask in case you are not thinking of the available cheap option. ;o)
