    i have an o5 impala ls with a 3.8 and 342700 miles on it. check the air dam below the radiator and make sure it's sturdy enough to direct air up to the front of the radiator. i had to replace the one under mine.

    how about a 383. whites performance in kingston tenn. sells a kit for under a grand. comes with: 400 crank, balencer, flex plate, piston, rods, bearings and rings. use your block, bore it .030 and assemble.

    my 84 came with the np833a 4 spd or should i say 3 spd with od. its alot of fun to drive. the 402 is more fun than the 305 that came in it.

    Welcome, here are some pics of my 84 c10 with a built 402. stock from bell housing back to the 10 bolt rear end. lowered front with springs 2.5", lowered back 4" with brackets and shackles. eng has about 460 hp and 500 lb ft torque.

    Mechanical to electric cooling fan

    i'm running a dual fan off of a 2005 impala. modified the shroud to fit my radiator. run a big block with a 160 thermostat. runs 170 - 180 down the highway. have a variable thermostat, fans come on at about 195. if you want more pics, send me a text to 336-558-6220. i have more pics in my phone.

    how old are the brake shoes, old brake shoes can cause chatter when applied. even if they look good doesn't mean they are.

    Lowering on 31s

    i lowered the front of my 84 c-10 2 inches by cutting one round off the spring. i put front brackets and shackles on the rear and it dropped it 4 inches. this is with a 402 big block. front tires are 255/70-15 and are about 28 inches tall.
