    Quadrajet Primary Shaft Bushings

    That’s a lot of work to machine plugs when, once removed, we tapped the primary ones for 10-32 plugs and Marine Tex, or Devcon epoxy the threads. Even Cliff has suggested that over the years. Guess I’m a dinosaur though, as I was doing that in the 80s and early 90s.

    You thread and use pipe plugs on the casting plugs? Or put epoxy over them? Have bushinged many Q-jets over the years, but only one or two in the last 15 or so years. Glad to see others still doing it.

    I had thought about a Camaro Series II 3800, with the top end from a 3800 with a supercharger. At the time I didn’t have access to the fab setup I do now, so without milling the throttle body would have been in the cowl.

    Make sure your speedo cable isn’t binding, lube it. I’ve been able to pull the center out of some and smear grease on it and reinstall, make sure it turns easily.     The Gov Loc for 14b ff is not a bad unit. Like someone mentioned above, I did not care for either the Lock Right or Detriot Locker’s manners on the street. So much so, I replaced with a new Gov Loc unit. The money I had trying the 2 others was the same as the new Gov Loc from Eaton

    We had a good time Friday. Too much to even attempt to see in just one day. Spent most of it in Ocean Springs. Left OS close to dark and went to BSL. Did run into some people we know in Biloxi. They had their General Lee, Roscoe’s police car, Boss Hogg’s convertible, and Daisy’s Jeep with them.

    Transfer case identification

    Looks to be an 1983 manufactured 208 C by the tag, which if your truck is an 81-87 1/2 or 3/4 ton should be the right case. Only differences would be large or small input shaft, depending on transmission.
