I have the same bezel. Painted it gloss black then tried to do the entire gauge part in silver. Looks like crap so will buy a new one eventually with a new housing as mine is breaking piece by piece
I wonder if I need one of these to get my defroster to work? It worked when I bought the truck in 2019 but it stopped but the regular heat works. I pulled all the AC components out except for the box on the firewall to clean the engine etc, so not sure if it works yet.
83 & 84 are the only ones not being re made it seems. I have an original in my 84 but is only held on with the 2 too screws. Hoping it wont fall out until I can get an 85 grill
I installed some of these on my old 65 Suburban and they were on there for 20+ years. I would recommend putting something in the hole that is drilled for the screw to keep rust at a minimum
Im tired of hearing about LS motors. Theres a lot of us that like original stuff. I started a group on Facebook called "All Original Squarebodies", and it now has over 3100 members with original trucks
Got me some new park light housings and a set of bumper guards for my plain jane Sierra. Guards dressed it up a little. Will add some wheel arch moldings eventually just to break up the white.
I use Rock Auto for all my stuff now. Autozone and Oreilly have it locally but their prices are quite a bit higher. I would like to support the local guy but with the prices they have to charge, it's difficult
Sorry to break in here. I got a 2 bbl intake, carb and air cleaner from a 70's C8000 and was thinking of putting it on my 84 Sierra 350. Would it be worth it to do this or just sell the parts?
I have a question for you all. I bought an air horn off Amazon, and it only haas 2 wires: Black and Red. Black obviously goes to a ground, but can I connect the red to the factory green horn wire to use the factory horn button?
Anyone here have one of these fill tubes you're getting rid of preferrably a factory one? I can buy a chrome one from Autozone but I don't want chrome. Want one I can paint to match my engine. Thanks
My line there was broken so I put a new piece of 3/16" line over it to connect the 2 pieces. It's tight but wondering if it's not tight enough to seal. I read somewhere in these forums about using a piece of shrink tubing to fix the line as well
