    Wipers not going back down

So, unplug the wires to the motor, and pop the plastic cover off the motor. Then plug the wires back up and start the motor operation back up. Watch and see what the wiper cam gears do...

    85 vent windows

Then there must be a third design too!! My father bought my '83 new. I bought it from him in 1988. I installed new GM vent window assemblies from a 1990 Suburban from the local GM dealership in 1999. The seals on these were larger and actually came out on top of the exterior door shell, all the...

    "Monster" brand TH350?

That's what I was thinking too Rick. It's a TH350. if these guys really ARE a transmission shop, it should be pretty straightforward. If this were a 700R4 then I would worry...

    85 vent windows

1989 GM switched to the new 1-piece seals on the Blazer/Jimmy, Suburban, and crewcab trucks. Less wind noise

Steering Wheel Too Close '84 C-10

I installed a 1988-94 GM full size truck bench seat into my '83 C10 Silverado... I gained a ton of room. Lots of us install the steering wheels out of these same trucks to also gain some "wiggle" room. The horn contact wire has to be changed. That's all.

    Finally found another Square Body....

A 1986 GMC Sierra Classic stepside (or Silverado) is very rare. Most were el cheepo base models. A factory tach too!!?? Amazing!!

    Glass lock strip replacement

You can replace the chrome insert with the "Scottsdale" black insert too. This way, in 10 years, you do not have to worry about that new aftermarket chrome insert breaking down again.

    700R4 Transmission Questions/Issues

I'd drop the pan for inspection. Replace the filter, add the big bottle of Lucas Transmission Conditioner, and top it off with regular Mercon/Dextron IV. This will be a 50% fluid change. Then drive her a bit, let Lucas go to work....

    What year bed is this

Top photo is 1985-87 style. There is a plastic shroud the fuel hose neck screws onto, via 3 small screws.

    Rear Splash Panel

1973-80 I see them on trucks far more. I added a wrecking yard set to my '83. GM stopped using them after 1980. Cost cutting measure I am sure....

    What year bed is this

You are 100% correct, and yes, the plastic filler neck "shroud" is missing here. So you need the 3-screw metal style, 1984-87 model, fuel filler to hose now too.

    8' bed question

1977 will have a round, external gas cap. 1979-84 have the square fuel doors with the 2 bolt filler neck attachment. 1985-91 have the same square fuel door, but the plastic, 3 screw, filler neck inside

What is this 2 prong Plug above the oil filter?

Oil pressure senor #2. It does loop into the electric choke circuit. It is also an early style "SES" light. If there is an issue, like low oil pressure, the choke light will begin flashing. This sensor is used up until 1986, I believe.

K5 almost killed me brakes to the floor

Make sure your e-brake is working properly. That is a fail-safe before wrecking it. You just have to use your left hand to hold the release handle out.. Odd that it has 1983-84 headlight bezels in a 1982? Check your glove box brake code too, before ordering your new master cylinder.
