    Settling on timing

Gentlemen. We have time. Always Remember. Clamp the number 1 spark plug line, not the number 6. that will definitely give you a false reading. we are now 30 degrees total timing, and 12 initial timing. Thank you for your help.

    Settling on timing

yes the original mark was unmarked. I marked it in white. I couldnt see it with t he timing light so i remarked it in black after checking it again. But the mark i saw last night was i guess from the mechanic who did the engine work and its the only mark i can see with the timing light on...

    Settling on timing

Ok gents. Removed number one sp. Sound it over this time with a longer screw driver and seems as thought the original white mark was correct. Went over the white with a black marker. Will do the timing light test again shortly.

    Settling on timing

Timing tab was added after rebuild of a Goodwrench SBC donor. Not the original motor. Verified Tdc ...so I thought....by removing number one spark plug and rotating the motor until I felt pressure coming from that cylinder. Marked the balance with a white pen but I cant see it when attempting to...

    Settling on timing

SBC 350, mild cam, flat tappet pistons, 3 inch exhaust. Today i took the liberty of installing a timing tab. After that, my ADHD was not satisfied as I feel the truck has a slight miss and I want to get the timing correct. So, i bought a timing light. To my understanding, I set TDC, painted...

    AC Confusion-Need Help

Update and I will attach pics. Everything is running and doing great. But I still have the ac hotwired. The HPCO switch did not work for the connection that we have. On the accumulator, the switch will not thread on as it is a little too tight. Is there a another switch I can use to get this...

    Fuel return diy

So, here is where we are. After buying the moroso fuel return line kit for $75 bucks, I attempted to install it and failed. 1 reason was because the adapter hoses were too thick to get on the filler neck and secure properly and 2 because the filler neck is the wrong size. I now have an in line...

    Fuel return diy

Drop this suggestions. Remember this is a carbbed SBC. Nothing crazy. Last regulator we tried failed miserably as it was for an EFI system.

    Fuel return diy

Thanks. Currently everything is as close as can be to the carb. All lines are run to the outside frame rail away from the exhaust and wrapped with heat resistant wrapping. Got this WIX filter with an extra out for fuel return and a kit to plumb it back to the fill line. Only reason I cant use...

    Heater Core Blown

So, I have a blown heater core on this thing that I must repair. While I am doing so, I have questions on if the radiator cap caused it. Im currently running and aluminum radiator with fans and a 19# cap. Is that cap too much and caused too much stress on the cooling system. Just wondering if I...

    Fuel return diy

This was my bright idea thinking it was more efficient. Pump is mounted on the frame rail down by the tank. I can see it bubbling in the clear filter when parked after running if I'm on it hard, and that fuel has not return so its just sitting there. I notice also when driving and cruising after...
