    Let’s see your memorabilia?!

My mom was my main supplier of California Raisins back when they were given out by Wendy’s or Hardee’s or whatever chain had them. Going through her stuff following her passing I found a bag full of them which I added to my collection. Also have a bunch of M2 and other model cars, but I know...

What have you done to your square lately??

Enjoyed a little off roading today with the wife. Was horrified to discover DIRT in my tires afterwards! Gotta get that cleaned up!

What have you done to your square lately??

Wife took pity on me today and gave me an early Christmas gift, a boroscope so I could find those ridiculously hard to see stamping and casting numbers on my engine. Had tried several times but eventually admitted defeat. Tool worked great! From todays searching here is what I have found...

Oil Pressure Drops After High RPM

@JamesSam I never found it in local stores. Not sure why. But you can order it off their website as I mentioned.

Oil Pressure Drops After High RPM

@ChuckN I used to buy my Amsoil from a friend, but later just went to their website and enrolled. Now I can order from them and they FedX it here. Usually get it the next day or maybe day after. I run Amsoil in everything; cars, tractors, antique Simplity’s.

Oil Pressure Drops After High RPM

Great chart! The Speedway Motors website also discusses the Amsoil products but don’t see them on the chart. The Z-Rod line is specifically designed for older flat tappet engines:

Oil Pressure Drops After High RPM

Just for comparison, my oil pressure is at 60 PSI immediately after starting cold. On the highway after the engine is at normal operating temp it settles in the mid 50 PSI. When I stop at a stoplight when hot oil pressure drops to around 30 PSI. This is a Mk IV 454 running Amsoil Z-Rod 10W-30...

What have you done to your square lately??

If you don’t have a local supplier for fasteners you can assemble with the old ones, then order the SS equivalents and replace them later, one at a time.

What have you done to your square lately??

It may be just me, but I like the fasteners to stand out. Unless it’s a special fastener I’ll stop by Valley Fastener and get stainless replacements. Not factory correct, but love the look!

    LMC Dash Pad Supplier

So what I learned today…. Both Dashes Direct and Just Dashes dye their dashes to the required color. None use vinyl made in the correct color. Not sure why as dying the product takes time and money, but can assume our colors are not readily available. Cheyenne Trucks is making dashes for the...

    LMC Dash Pad Supplier

The problem with USA1 is they take your money immediately but then cannot supply the item. They’ll say 16 weeks and 18 months later you’re still waiting. You question them and they’ll say it will ship in one week or one month, but of course it doesn’t. For some items such as paint you may get...

    LMC Dash Pad Supplier

Yes, the seats and center console are stock for the K5. This setup must have been one of the earlier factory interiors to include cup holders. Surprisingly most of the center console is cast metal, with fiberglass at the very bottom where it bolts to the floor.

    LMC Dash Pad Supplier

Just Dashes process sounds like they re-cover your dash using vinyl manufactured in the chosen color and not simply dyed/painted. Am I correct? Plan to ask them on Monday but I figure someone here knows.

    LMC Dash Pad Supplier

I requested a quote from Just Dashes to recover my existing dash. Haven’t got a price yet but figured it was worth exploring. That way I would retain my factory frame so fit should not be a question. My dash was apparently recovered by an upholstery shop and has several seams and other issues...

Unfortunately I am building a show truck. Finding a show quality dash pad seems akin to finding a Unicorn though. :emotions122:

    LMC Dash Pad Supplier

I checked with Jegs but they couldn’t ship until mid-December, which is also when Dashes Direct told me they would have my dash available again. I think I’ll wait to hear from DD and order it then. Hopefully the fit will be OK.

    LMC Dash Pad Supplier

Shopping for a dash pad for my Blazer and was looking at LMC. Read here that their pads were supplied by Dashes Direct, but when I asked LMC they said that was not true. They also didn’t volunteer who their supplier was. I figured maybe someone here would know. Dashes Direct is out of my dash...

    Let’s see your memorabilia?!

Some of the items in my shop. The quart size oil cans are all full, all but a few are metal cans. The 1955 Roadmaster bike was made by the Cleveland Welding Co. in, no surprise, 1955! I ride it regularly, especially at the beach on vacation. The wife’s father was really into the Whizzer...

What have you done to your square lately??

Here is everything that I’m getting rid of. I have no idea what any of it’s worth. The tall JL Audio speaker measures 19” tall x 11” wide x 5” deep. The two smaller boxes are 8.5” tall x 12” wide x 7” deep at bottom, reducing to 5” at top. These all are surprisingly heavy and seem very well...

Actually all of it is. Kick panel speakers, Kenwood amp and the three box speakers. I’ll post pics of it all tomorrow.

What have you done to your square lately??

Finished removing the last of the aftermarket stereo equipment and restored the kick panels to something at least closer to stock. When I got the Blazer it had what I’m sure is a nice high-end stereo system installed. There were 3 big, heavy speaker boxes in the back, speakers in the kick...
