    Doing a bit more research and finding out that my fingers are ahead of my brain... You want the stall to be about or right before peak power, so you are probably about right on the stall speed. I'm sorry... I was also thinking stock stall speed being a bit less than 1800 RPM.

    If this one is the one you have http://www.summitracing.com/parts/nal-24502586 Then I would stay with a stall of around 1800-2000... Most TH350s didn't have a lockup converter.

    I prefer the magnaflows over other things I've heard up to this point. It was fairly drony until I put the Pypes system with the x pipe... It's a bit more quiet and tolerable, but I don't know how much until I get the bed back on. A still more quiet alternative would be a Turbo style muffler...

    Tuned the idle a bit and took it for a spin after tightening the body bolts. Now I just have to get the bed back together so I can take it out on the main roads and clear out the cobwebs.

    You can cut the vinegar with water if you need to, but I have a feeling it reduces how much rust it'll take care of. I don't think I've cut it by more than 50% on the extreme side in my experimentation.

    I didn't specify explicitly above, but basically you have to have the part submerged in the vinegar. The biggest con for me is the time it takes, but for $2-3 a gallon on the vinegar, it sure beats the $20+ price tag on less than a gallon of EvapoRust.

    Has anyone converted their '73 to 3 point seat belts?

    Mine has the blind nut behind the plug. Not sure if they did that with every truck or not. I'm still trying to figure out if I want to find new trim pieces or just drill holes so that I can install the 3pt system into the truck.

    For the low end torque you're going to want a dual plane intake of some sort. The single planes are better for high RPM applications. When choosing a cam, you have to take everything into consideration. RPM range, Gear Ratios, Tires, etc... I say this as I'm still learning about what one...

    My short tail has a slip yoke even though it has the two piece driveshaft. Don't remember how long the yoke was though. Might be able to find a picture for estimating purposes though.

    I had that happen on one of mine after a rebuild and it turned out to be the rocker. It had a small defect in the socket and chewed up the pushrod. I bought a a new rocker and a then for the hell of it a whole new set of pushrods so that they would all be the same. Here's what mine looked like:
