    AMC 258 HEI conversion timing issues.

    My 82 CJ-7 has a 258 AMC as well, and i too HEI swapped it. I seemed to get it left first shot, runs pretty good. Could just take another stab at it. An inconsistent idle will do that also. Try holding it at a RPM above idle, and see if it moves.

    Oh awesome. Glad it made it safe and sound. Its going to a good home, your 87 is far more deserving than mine. Thought you might like the name, hahaha. Figured thatd get a laugh. Custom box was the hard part, but glad ot worked. Thank you very much, and no rush man..

    They're 16in. And yes the gmt400 trim ring that they had on the 16in 6 lug new rally will fit, have tried it. And if you use the external threaded lug nuts they put on 90s trucks, you can run the 8 lug plastic center caps that screw onto the lug nut. Haven't dont that on a square, but have done...

    They're actually 90s dodge 2500/3500 rims. My buddy has a set on his 84 c20. They fit a square surprisingly well, and they do look alot like a rally, but 8 lug. They look fitting.

    What new tools have you got lately?

    One of my clients recently gave me his set of Snapon line wrenches that he's had since the 70s. Said "here, you'll use them more than i have" Thought that was super cool. Nice guy. Also gave me a mini pipe cutter, which ive been needing, and he happened to have 3 in his truck.
