    Ill do a before and after. I plan on painting the gauge backer either gloss white, or silver to also reflect better, and add the foil tape, wherever its needed most. And some LED gauge bulbs should really brighten it up. Also going to polish the gauge lenses.

    I foil taped the back of gauge bezel cover so it's more reflective. Came out pretty good, im happy. Also going to upgrade the bulbs. @MikeB Hows that look?

    So i have 2. Ones out of my 75 blazer, and ones out of a 74 c10 at the yard. Both apear to be in good condition, and both are 30in long and have same fittings on all 4 sides. One has a block connector with part of another fitting in it. Dont know why. There they are. Pick one, lol.

    Bad connection at battery, bad main lead to or from the starter, bad main ground to the engine (should be on alternator bracket or thermostat bell, or groundstrap on back of block to firewall. By bad, either reistalled where it doesnt belong, put on a painted surface, corroded, damaged, etc...

    It is the factory original Delphi casset deck radio, yes. Sadly, no, it does not not work. I left it in, because it looks nice and fills the hole, and i wasnt going to cut a hole in the dash. I put a new CD radio, u der the dash like a CB .

    Installed a new tachometer and wired it in and got it working. I really like it because its alot smaller, and the font and needle color really match the factory 80s gauges well..

    If i remember correctly from my 75 gauges, the oil gauge had a little metal line running from the gauge to an oil port on the block. Thats easy to swap.

    I have no idea what its out of, but its in my 87 k20. Its really weird. Its red vinyl on the sides, and its sorta a light brown and white polkadot velour underneath, and houndstooth over the top. Ill take pics tomorow

    Its nicer than mine, lol. Im just partial to short box GMC, and yours is a real nice setup. Just a tad bit taller than mine. Id like to do a small lift and bigger tires someday. But i love my baby. Carburated too, much better than TBI, hehehe. Just kidding ya.

    Ah, so you think valve body too.. I have to admit, thats one thing im kinda scared of opening up are automatic trans. Never messed with one, afraid ill screw sometbing up. But it does look do able. I was looking online, they sell whole, rebuilt valve bodys for 4l60e for only like $100-150...
