Still struggling with no fuel after initial start up. I jumped the wires that went to the factory oil pressure sending unit and the fuel pumps did not turn on. There is power when I jumped those two wires though. If I have power at the fuel selector valve mounted on the frame rail near the...
Now I understand what you were telling me. I took a picture of the oil sending unit on the original 350 and I found the plug that went into it behind the distributor. On the Blueprint engine there is no place to install another oil sending unit. If I jump the tan/white and orange wires on the...
Can I replace the current one wire oil pressure sending unit with the two wire "open" switch if I tap into the tan/white wire and attach it to the new oil.pressure sending unit?
I do not see a second oil pressure switch on the original engine. I have the original 350 tbi on an engine stand. The...
I have a fuel pressure regulator to keep the fuel pressure about 6 psi.
Where would I tap into the tan/white wire to add it to the oil pressure sending unit? We did not do that when we installed the engine and the current single wire to the oil sending unit is a brown single wire, not orange...
My tan/white wire comes out of the fuse box through the firewall and to the fuel pump relay. It has power. I have a single brown wire that goes to the oil pressure sending unit. I am not sure how to combine these two wires. I am using a HEI distributor that has a tach wire. I added a...
Thank you, Ricko 1966. I will chase those wires and see what I find. I can take the oil pressure switch off of the original 350 tbi and put it on the 454.
Is the red wire on the fuel relay the jumper for the fuel pumps? I noticed a solid gray wire at the top of the fuse box has no power. All other wires in the fuse box have power.
Both tanks and fuel pumps were replaced 2000 miles ago. Electric fuel pumps in the tanks just like factory. Truck ran great after the engine swap for 1.5 years and about 1000 miles. When I washed down the leak in the power steering hose my problem began. I did find a 20 amp ignition fuse...
Still working on my 1987 V10. It is a big block carb with factory dual tanks and electric fuel pumps in each tank just like factory. (Both tanks and fuel pumps replaced 1.5 years ago) I had no fuel pressure, fuel guage and the tank selector switch had no power Replaced the tank selector...
I did some diagnostic on my truck.
I have no power at the tank switch in the cab. I have power on the orange wire only, 12.45 volts at the relay under the hood. I have one wire with power at the tank selector valve on the frame rail. It is a pink wire.
Not sure where to go from here.

That line is a close fit. I just found my receipt from 1999 for the hose. Delco part number 15-3422 GM part number 14048016 GPD part number 4814546.
No one has it in inventory, Advance, Auto Zone, Rock Auto, Parts Geek, NAPA.
It is a 1985 c10. The A6 axial compressor came in 1983 and 1984 trucks. The original engine was a 305. In 2000 I installed a 502. The compressor and lines are 25 years old.
I don't see the lines listed on Amazon. Years ago I set a work light on the rubber part of the dryer line. Since then, it always had a bubble where the heat affected it. I had to rebuild the compressor so it is a good time to replace the lines.
Does anyone know the part number for the ac hose that runs from an A6 ( large and long ) compressor to the condensor and dryer? I can't find this hose anywhere online or at the parts stores. It's a little hot in Florida now.
I am out of ideas. 1987 V10 with factory dual tanks. I replaced both tanks and sending units about 2 years ago. All worked fine. Put in a big block with a carb and an inline fuel pressure guage about 1.5 years ago. Everything worked good. Drove the truck last week. Shut it off and it would...
A year ago I put a 454 in my 87 v10. I tried the Summit long tube ceramic coated for $300 and the Hedman long tube ceramic coated for $800. The Summit fit better and had a nicer finish. 11 months later and they still look good.
I purchased the Summit brand headers, ceramic coated for under $300. Came with collectors and gaskets. Fit my 454 in a K10 with no issues. Tuck up nice by the spring shackles.
Hello Everyone,
I have a 1987 V10. It currently has 308 gears with open differentials. I installed a larger engine and a larger stall converter in the 700R4. ( 2000-2400 stall ). I want to change the gears in the differentials to 373 with a limited slip in the rear. So far I have 2 price...
