    @PrairieDrifter how much of this truck are you parting out? I too have a 76 GMC. I see yours is a manual. I was thinking of converting mine at some point to a 5 or 6 speed manual just for fun.

    I did not use new copper washers on the hose block. I did clean it all up really nice with a small wire brush wheel on my cordless drill (stuffed a tiny rag into caliper to keep crap out), and the copper washers cleaned up nice, as did the hose block. I torqued it down pretty dang good...

    Not a driver. Yes stripping it of the parts, unfortunately. Now my blue truck has a green tailgate. This one is just a wee bit rusted. Nice part is this truck was never touched/messed with. In fact all the interior ductwork went into mine it was so dang nice.

    What have you done to your square lately??

    Started placing the 3" exahust back into place (has smitty mufflers attached to them) on each side of the truck. Dumped pipes out before rear tires (and left room between pipes & gas tanks), will maybe trim them up after new rims/tires are installed if I don't like how it looks.

    It is leaf springs, brand new ones in fact. Not exactly sure how I could get it to squat, I have a feeling unless I put some extreme trailer to this thing it is not going to move much at all.

    Ok, I see what you are saying, makes sense. I have the truck sitting on blocks right now, with tire pressures the same. No other weight on the suspension besides misc. stuff in the box, so the truck is sitting at it's normal ride height right now.
