    XJ steering shaft mod

Not to be obtuse, but since I'm a first time K10 owner, I just want to make sure I order the right part. Is this the correct steering shaft for the XJ conversion on my 1973 K10? https://www.ebay.com/itm/404941450071 I'm 99.9% certain it is, but the last thing I want to do is order the wrong part.

Is There a 700R4 / 350 Transmission Flexplate / Inspection Cover That Fits?

Must be a user thing. I tried that code and it doesn't work for me. That's really bizarre.

Where did you see the discount code and what is the discount code? I’m not seeing it on my end for whatever reason.

Is There a 700R4 / 350 Transmission Flexplate / Inspection Cover That Fits?

Crikey! Looks like I found a whole package, though it ain't cheap! https://www.ebay.com/itm/286335499707 Is that price absurd? I suppose I could check auto salvage yards, then I'd just have to media blast and paint / powder coat.

Is There a 700R4 / 350 Transmission Flexplate / Inspection Cover That Fits?

Does this look like the right inspection cover? https://www.ebay.com/itm/267345874772 Doesn't say if it's a K case cover or not. I found those brackets you posted a picture of on eBay, I'm going to buy those now. By chance do you have a photo of your underside with these brackets / struts...

Is There a 700R4 / 350 Transmission Flexplate / Inspection Cover That Fits?

Hoping you guys can help me out here. My newly acquired 1973 K10 is missing the flywheel inspection cover on the transmission. I was hoping to find a steel one that actually fits, but the only one I can seem to find is this one: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07B8VTNRF/ That's the same one that...

    RETRO-Mod: Jeep intermediate steering shaft

There's a guy locally who is selling a Borgeson steering shafts for a very good deal. I want to make sure it's the right one, however. Does anyone know the part number for the Borgeson so I can be sure? Is there any advantage to the XJ shaft over this, or do they accomplish the same thing...

    Sketchy Power Steering

I've checked it out and everything looks good from what I can tell. Ball joints, wheel bearings, bushings, etc. I'm going to find a reputable alignment shop and have them check the alignment / caster to see what it comes back at. I guess if that doesn't fix things, I could always go this route...

    Sketchy Power Steering

Tires are brand new. I'll check the linkages and frame. I'll do a dry steering test while my wife rotates the steering wheel side-to-side.

    Sketchy Power Steering

Okay, so maybe one of you guys knows the answer to this. My 1973 K10 truck has power steering but it's a bit "flighty" (for lack of a better word) at higher speeds. It feels sloppy, not very precise, and the faster you go the more sketchy it feels. I would like to upgrade the steering in such...

Are all dash pads created equal?

That's a heck of a nice dash pad, it looks great! Those custom gauges are absolutely awesome too. I just went ahead and ordered one from Dashes Direct. It says they have 10 in stock. If it looks as good as the photos you guys have shown me, I'll be a happy camper.

Are all dash pads created equal?

Thanks, that's what I was looking for. Looks factory to me!

Are all dash pads created equal?

That must be what is in the truck now. The dash pad is warped beyond belief. The rest of the truck looks great but someone clearly replaced the dash pad at some point with a cheap, urethane pad. I'll go with vinyl. Upon further research it appears that USA1 uses Dashes Direct dash pads.

Are all dash pads created equal?

That's a sharp looking dash pad to say the least! Is that vinyl or leather?

Are all dash pads created equal?

By chance do you have a photo of one of the Dashes Direct dash pads on a C10 / K10? A Google search surprisingly doesn't bring up any good photos. Also, thanks for clarifying. I wasn't sure how it worked with restoration parts. I know that generally speaking there usually are only a small...

Are all dash pads created equal?

I need a new dash pad for my 73 K10. I've been planning to order one from USA1 but I'm reading a lot online about how their wait times are absurdly long. That got me thinking, are all reproduction dash pads the same? My gut tells me they're all made in one factory in China (or somewhere in...

Lets see your gauge cluster setups

I have to admit, those Dakota Digital GRFX gauges are tempting!

Lets see your gauge cluster setups

Okay, so a pretty easy install more-or-less. I've been looking at the Dakota Digital units. This may be the way to go. It's either this or Classic Instruments.

I dig it! So this was plug-and-play with the snap adapter? You were able to utilize all your factory gauge sending units and what not?

Lets see your gauge cluster setups

I like that! Is that the Dakota Digital? If so, how difficult was it to install? Did you have to install new sending units or did it use the existing ones?

Lets see your gauge cluster setups

I'm considering either the Dakota Digital or Classic Instruments gauge cluster for my 1973 K10 Cheyenne. I'm open to other options as well. Just curious to see photos of those who have installed different gauges in their C10 / K10 trucks. Lets see what you've got!
