    I had a truck that made a noise like that when the torque converter bolts loosened and were hitting the dust cover. Check that too if you have an auto. The dust cover was loose too and it made the sound sort of intermittent. It was probably the 3rd time replacing the 700r4 that came in the 84...

    MUD: There was a comment earlier in this thread about Buckshot Mudders and I ran a set of those on a Jeep and they did great in mud but not so great in the snow and were okay on the road but whined a little and got progressively worse as they wore.     I like it, would make a good work truck. Not sure if it would sell faster as is or with a standard bed so make that decision based on whether you want to keep the bed it has. Then a good detail and list it or use it.

    Did it not try to fall over? The furniture dolly sounds like a narrow base to work with. My cab still has the glass in it so it's a bit top heavier than a stripped one. This sounds the simplest and may be what I do.

    1984 C10 Common Problems? What to look for

    I came to mention the transmission. I've had 2 84 models both were 4x4. One had a 700r4 and the other a th350. I still have the one with the 350. I replaced the 700r4 3 times before it hit the road. That could just be my experience with them but I will never have another vehicle with a 700r4.

    Looking for some advice on a rust converting primer for some rallies. The one on the left has been ran through a steel shot machine and I want to keep the rust from getting worse and paint them silver again. What should I get to stop the rust and accept paint over it?
